Mother’s Day is not too far away!!
If you’ll be in Disney World soon, while the Mother’s Day celebrations are going on, you might get the chance to try a few limited-time Mother’s Day treats in the parks and resorts. Starting today, a NEW treat has arrived at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa for Mother’s Day and it is MADE for mimosa fans!
Over at Gasparilla Island Grill in the Grand Floridian you’ll find the NEW Mother’s Day Mimosa Miniature Gâteau!
This beautiful treat is made of a Golden Sponge Cake topped with a Chocolate Cinderella Slipper filled with Mimosa-flavored Mousse.
This cake is beautiful, there’s no denying that. The Cinderella Slipper on top is such a wonderful touch, and the vibrancy of the purple cake against the yellow slipper is great.
In terms of taste, we found that the cake texture was perfect, and the flavor was absolutely fantastic!! The mimosa flavor was definitely there, although it was stronger in some bites as compared to others.
What we truly loved is that you actually get that dry champagne note, not just the orange flavor, from the mimosa. We do wish the dry champagne taste was more prominent though. That would have really taken the cake to the next level!
Overall, the cake is beautiful and the mimosa flavor was wonderful! But, we will say that the $7.99 price tag on this treat is pretty expensive considering the size of what you get.
If you’re not a fan of champagne, you may not enjoy this treat since you do get a lovely dry champagne note in terms of the flavors. If you’re a HUGE mimosa fan though, you’ll probably really enjoy this treat!
Overall, we thought it was a visually beautiful treat and we felt like it was really great in terms of flavor. If you want to try it yourself, you can grab it at Gasparilla Island Grill right now through May 9th!
We’ll keep an eye out for more NEW treats all around Disney World and bring you all of our thoughts on them. Stay tuned for more news, reviews, photos, and more!
