It’s normal to be biased when it comes to favorite hotels in Disney World, and that’s because Disney World has a hotel for just about any preference!

Polynesian Resort
But when it comes to deluxe resorts, it seems we’re even pickier — we have solid opinions on which are our favorites, and sometimes, we just can’t agree! And that’s okay! So we decided to ask you, our readers, how your rated Disney World’s deluxe hotels! And your answers surprised us!
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa
Okay, so we TOTALLY didn’t see this coming. But it seems that our DFB readers are divided on how they feel about Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. We THOUGHT this was a fan favorite hotel, but only 58% of you love it, while 42% think it’s overrated.

Grand Floridian Results
What can we say? Color us surprised! Perhaps it has something to do with this being one of the most expensive hotels on Disney property?
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
Speaking of surprised, it seems our readers TOTALLY prefer Disney’s Wilderness Lodge over the Grand Floridian by a GREAT deal. A whopping 85% of you love it here, with only 15% thinking it’s overrated.

Wilderness Lodge Results
Look at that — Wilderness Lodge is getting some serious love from y’all. And we get it, it’s a GORGEOUS resort, and we often think it’s underrated.
Disney’s Riviera Resort
Disney’s newest addition to its deluxe hotel list, the Riviera, is just so-so with our readers, although you still seem to like it more than the Grand Floridian. Overall 66% of you told us you love it, while 34% think it’s overrated.

Riviera Ranking Results
The hotel sits on the Skyliner Route, so we’re sure some of y’all considered that when voting.
Disney’s Old Key West Resort
Okay, so this one surprised us, too, because we always consider Old Key West to be a hidden gem at Disney World. Of course, it’s predominantly DVC Members who end up staying here, so maybe this is just a case of the resort getting a bad rap?

Old Key West Ranking
About half, 52%, of our readers love it, while 48% think it’s overrated. This isn’t a super popular resort, so we were a little surprised so many readers thought it was overrated!
Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
So this one didn’t surprise us that much because we’ve heard guests complain that Saratoga Springs is one of those hotels that kinda’ lacks in the theming department. Only 42% of you said you loved it…

Saratoga Springs Ranking
…and 58% of our readers feel it’s overrated.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
If there’s a real favorite here with the deluxe resorts, because Animal Kingdom Lodge has one of the top spots. It’s one of the prettiest hotels on property and the theming is ON POINT. A majority of you, 81% to be exact, LOVE it here.

Animal Kingdom Lodge Ranking
Only 19% think it’s overrated, and that’s probably due to its location — it is farther away from most of the parks compared to the other Deluxe Hotels.
Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts
So the Yacht and Beach Club Resorts sit side-by-side, so they have a category together. Both have a total laid back seaside vibe, that MANY of you just real dig — 80% of our readers think these are great value resorts. Only 20% think they’re overrated.

Yacht and Beach Club Ranking
We bet the amazing Stormalong Pool here is part of the reason for this high ranking — it’s one of our favorite pools at Disney World!
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner! When we asked you to rank the Polynesian, you overwhelmingly told us you love it. So here’s what you said: 90% of our readers LOVE it and only 10% think it’s overrated.

Polynesian Rankings
And we even love the recent Polynesian changes — the Moana theming is really working for it! Anyway, we’d rank this high just for the ‘Ohana Bread Pudding. 😁
Disney’s Contemporary Resort
Speaking of resorts getting a refurbishment…the Contemporary is getting a facelift, too! And although the Contemporary has some of the BEST VIEWS in all of Disney World (you can see Magic Kingdom from here!), our readers are split when it comes to ranking it. Only 54% of you say you love it…

Contemporary Ranking
…while 46% of you don’t. Ouch. Maybe that will change once the refurbishment is over!
Disney’s Boardwalk Inn
The vibe at Disney’s Boardwalk Inn is so laid back and fun that we get how it could be a popular destination for Disney World guests. And 77% of you love it, with only 23% feeling it’s overrated.

Boardwalk Inn Ranking
So there you have it — there were certainly some surprises when we asked our readers how they felt about these deluxe hotels! We’re looking forward to hearing your opinions on other things, too, so keep an eye on our social media accounts to participate in more polls! And thanks to all who voted!

Love Wideness , it’s our home. This year we will be staying at Beach Club for the first time but will be just a little home sick. 😉
Stayed at Grand Floridian before parks shut down, not impressed. The room was not as clean as I expected and ice machine in our bldg didn’t work. Had to call someone to get ice and clean towels. The dirty ones were left on floor in bathroom. I’ve had better stays at moderate priced resorts.
The scores for Animal Kingdom Lodge and Wilderness Lodge didn’t seem to reflect that they are two of the worst deluxe resorts for transportation. Yes, both have great theming and great places to spend time with AK having great dining (sorry WL, you don’t), but the lack of transportation options make them undesirable. To be a resort star, there needs to be monorail, skyliner or walking access to parks. Location, quality of Cast Members and food and beverage options top to bottom put The Grand Floridian in a league of its own.
All of the resorts are great everyone has it favorite My resort is Saratoga Springs D V C Member and owner I can stay in all of th em but it is hard to book the favorite s one because it might not be available but they are all great .
Blessed to have multiple contracts at Animal Kingdom /Kidani and Wilderness Lodge.
We travel as a couple and own DVC at GF. Folks often tell us they believe GF is too pristine and not kid friendly. We can’t judge as this is their opinion. We love GF main building Royal Palm floor and our DVC ownership. However, the villias are in need of updates. Very rough use over the years. Mostly furniture, paint, carpets etc. The tiles and bathrooms are still pretty nice.
Staying at Saratoga Springs currently and the transportation situation left much to be desired. Did not expect to wait for buses as much as we have been! The renovated rooms are really nice though!
AKL is our favorite with the Polynesian being our second choice.
