Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is getting a new look inspired by Moana!
The resort has been undergoing some lengthy refurbishments to incorporate the new theme and is expected to reopen later this summer! We’ve already gotten a first look at the Moana-inspired guest rooms, and now we’re seeing a little more from the resort’s Cast Member preview!
Cast Members were invited to check out the new guest rooms at the Polynesian Village Resort, as shared on the Walt Disney World Cast and Community Facebook page! Behind these lifeguards, you can see Moana-themed art and bright pops of color in the room, like we saw in the original sneak peek of the rooms. Plus, the bed’s headboard is filled with intricate designs and details.
The walls are now covered with massive designs depicting Maui and Moana along with huge flowers and patterns. The rooms are inspired by the Pacific Ocean. You can see all different shades of blues in the curtains and couch behind the Cast Member here.
Along with their sneak peek, they also were visited by some special guests. Goofy stopped by to say hello! Plus, you can see the Cast Member here rocking some nail polish under the new, gender-inclusive “Disney look” guidelines.
As we get more details about this project at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, we’ll be sure to share updates! Stay tuned to DFB for everything you need to know!
