Disney World is continuing with its phased reopening.
And that means that we’re seeing attractions, restaurants, and hotels reopening all around property! We’ve been getting EXCITED to visit Tusker House again in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, but now, it seems like we’ve got lots more to look forward to. Because Disney just announced that one of our favorite restaurants is officially reopening!
‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is reopening on July 9th! That’s coming up SOON. This spot will serve all-you-care-to-enjoy breakfast AND dinner — although, notably, character dining will not be available. However, a strolling musician will entertain you during dinner!
Breakfast eats include pineapple-coconut breakfast bread, Stitch waffles, and breakfast skillets. For dinner, enjoy platters of grilled beef steak, roasted chicken, and friend rice. And OF COURSE, that heavenly ‘Ohana Bread Pudding is making its return! Safe to say, we could NOT be happier.
Disney is currently showing a menu for ‘Ohana online — and it’s missing those famous noodles. But don’t panic — this menu IS subject to change, so we could still see this fan-favorite eat return.
Update: The ‘Ohana noodles are coming BACK and now appear on the updated menu.

Disney released pictures of the food we can expect to see at ‘Ohana and it looks like there will be some changes!
Breakfast
First, let’s take a look at breakfast!

Dinner
We noticed some pretty big changes when it comes to ‘Ohana’s dinner, including the introduction of Kielbasa Sausage to the entrees, and a BIG difference in the bread. The bread used to be a Pineapple Coconut bread, but now the restaurant offers ‘Ohana Coconut-Papaya Scones and Cheddar-Bacon Biscuits.

The online menu also now shows a number of beverages that will be available during dinner. There will be non-alcoholic specialties…
…non-alcoholic mocktails…
…signature cocktails…
…MORE signature cocktails…
…beers…
…MORE beers…
…and a variety of wines.
There’s quite a bit to choose from!
The full menu and drinks are also now online for ‘Ohana’s breakfast menu.

Bookings for this spot are already opened up. You’ll want to reserve your table ASAP — we’ve got a feeling it’ll fill up fast. You can bet we’ll bring you a full review once ‘Ohana has officially reopened, so stay tuned to DFB!

That’s not the same chicken they normally have, right? 🙁
If one’s not a meat eater then there’s a mixed green salad and roasted broccolini. Maybe fried rice depending on what’s in it.
Roasted broccolini as a main course? Unless they’re doing something pretty darned amazing with this, that’s a side dish, not a main dish.
Harumph.
Paul, I see that Sebastian’s Bistro (which also announced its menu yesterday) has a full plant-based menu, but you’re right that ‘Ohana doesn’t show one. Hopefully they’ll add something more substantial, but no guarantees, unfortunately.
Jenna, sounds like it’ll be different — roasted rather than grilled and served with chimichurri sauce.
Ohana is back 🤙 . All is well.
Any news on when Hoop-Dee-Do May open?
I absolutely love the DFB!! So much great information!! Hopefully the characters will be back for breakfast. Still very happy it’s reopening! Is it still 60 days prior to making reservations? We’re going October 30 th? Thanks again ,
arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yet another change/cutback from Disney!!! what on earth would the issue be in serving this food on the skewers as they did in the past and WHY are they changing this so much no shrimp except for the casserole is NOT the same. I do not mean to complain but you would think they would learn after trying to change this many times before C’MON Disney add the shrimp as an add on if you have to watch your food costs and for people who don’t care for the shrimp!!!!
We have gone a least once every trip for the last 35 years, so sad to see them change the menu. my husband has peanut/nut and egg allergies, looks like many things are out for him.
Really hoping to make an ADR for Ohana for our end of July trip! Question: Do I need to cancel my existing ADR that was a “backup” choice in order to snag Ohana? And, does June 10th mean midnight tonight or 6am tomorrow? Thanks as always for the fantastic updates DFB!
Does anyone know what time we can start making reservations for this on the 10th?
The entire menu is served at Ohana, not just each item as an individual entree! It is a family-style eating experience, and is usually fabulous!
Hoping there are alternatives for people like me with a shellfish allergy.
I am happy to see O’hana opening back up, but with the main resort closed, and no monorail service, I question how many guests they will attract. And I hope they do not kill the noodles…
What happened to the grilled shrimp skewers?
Nooooooo!!! Where are the noodles???? What were they thinking taking them off the menu???😭😭😭
BobbiJo, there’s only one dish with seafood in it, but you’d want to double check with the chef regarding possible cross-contamination.
Andrew, usually it’s 7AM. Hopefully you already got through.
Lauren, this morning! Hopefully by now you’ve got your ADR.
PittyPat, still no word from Disney on this.
Tod, your comment made me smile after so many negative ones today!
