A new Disney-Pixar movie means a whole new batch of easter eggs! With Luca‘s release on June 18th on Disney+, it’s time to start looking for new ones!
Throughout many of Pixar’s films, there have been tons of little details and nods! With the release of Luca, fans and theorists have been working hard to spot every easter egg they can find!
Warning: Small Spoilers for Luca ahead!
Recently, Variety shared a list of popular easter eggs from the Luca! Here are some of the latest finds! The first easter egg is the name on this boat! You may recognize it from the film Coco! Miguel’s grandmother’s name was Elena, making this a nice nod to another great Pixar movie!
The next easter egg that’s been spotted is a poster for the classic Disney film 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea! When Luca first explores Portorosso, you can spot this poster alongside one for the classic movie Roman Holiday!
Next, when Luca and Alberto meet Giulia, her bedroom is full of easter eggs! The first is a small Donald Duck plush by her bed! Do you see him?
On top of that, she has Le Avventure Di Pinocchio in her book collection! This detail is not just a reference to the Disney film Pinocchio, but also a nod to the Italian Riviera setting of Luca.
Of course, what’s a Pixar movie without the Luxo ball? You can spot it on a rooftop near the final part of Luca!
In the final moments of Luca, we get the signature A113 easter egg, a reference to the famous CalArts classroom! You’ll find this in basically every Pixar film, but in Luca, you can spot it on the ticket to Genova that Luca receives!
As with any Pixar film, there are tons of easter eggs yet to be found and fans are on the hunt to find more! It’s little things like these easter eggs that add to the fun of movies like Luca!

Why is it that the Disney Food blog is more about other things than it is about food? For example this article is under Disney Food news. Why? It is about a movie not food. Most of the stories under this topic isn’t even about food. I used to love the Disney Food Blog. Not so much anymore. I will be looking for a new blog to follow that actually focuses on the food at the parks and resorts.
