It’s already been a super exciting day for Christmastime in the Disney Parks!
Disney just announced that Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is being replaced with a new holiday after hours event called Disney Very Merriest After Hours. But if you’ve ever been to the Disney World resorts around the holidays, you’ll be VERY excited about the news we have to share.
The elaborate (and super popular) gingerbread displays are coming BACK to the resorts! Disney says that “select gingerbread displays” will be available for guests to see as part of the holiday celebrations. YAY!
In the past we’ve seen the gingerbread carousel at Disney’s Beach Club…
…and a giant gingerbread house that sells special holiday treats at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort!
Last year, these gingerbread displays were cancelled, so we are SO pumped to see them return this year. Disney has not released which displays are returning, but as soon as we know, we’ll update ya! On top of the gingerbread displays, the resorts will be decked out for the holidays with trees and other holiday decor, so you can look forward to that too! Stay tuned for more holiday announcements from Disney World and Disneyland!

Do
You know what dates the gingerbread house in grand Floridian will be up?
John Herman Ismey says
Disney ginger bread house is great to see Disney bring s it back the resorts are always festival . Disney is trying to give customer’s some kind of holidays .
DFB Sarah says
Laure, in years past, the house would start going up in early- to mid-November, but we will have to wait and see what their timeline is this year.
Rebecca says
Do you know if the classes are coming back?
DFB Sarah says
Rebecca, I don’t believe Disney has said this yet, but we’ll share this if it happens.
Susan Johnson says
I’m staying at Saratoga Springs for five days before Christmas. Can we go to the different resorts to see the Gingerbread Houses as we’ve always done in the past, or is visiting the resorts still available only to those staying at the resorts or those with a dinner reservation there? I hope this requirement is now gone, but if not, is there any other way to get around this.
Thanks for the help.
DFB Sarah says
Susan, the policy is still in place, but you can venture to Resorts without reservations by using Disney transportation.
