Disney World is constantly in a state of change, and Disney World Resort hotels are no exception.
Disney’s Contemporary Resort hotel is undergoing some major construction as Disney gives Contemporary rooms a makeover based on The Incredibles. We’ve seen a restaurant reopen in the midst of the construction but the Contemporary is still kind of a mess. We took a look around at the construction and merchandise, so read on for what’s new!
Disney’s Contemporary Resort Construction Updates
We’ve been keeping a close eye on the Contemporary’s construction progress and we visited again to take another look at the state of construction. Many of the rooms are still covered with construction scrims as they work on the room renovations.
You can probably guess which rooms are currently being renovated.
The construction extends to other areas outside the hotel, too.
The lower levels and the stairs are covered with construction scrims as well.
The inside of the Contemporary is also being majorly renovated. The floors in this area were covered for construction.
A few areas are covered by curtains…
…while others are hidden by walls.
Do you prefer the walls of construction?
Or maybe you think the dark curtains are more lively than the walls?
You might even prefer the brown construction material.
Disney’s Contemporary Resort Merchandise Updates
In Fantasia, we spotted this new blue underwear featuring Disney Parks icons, like the Tree of Life, Spaceship Earth, Tower of Terror, the Cinderella Castle, and more.
The back also features Disney Parks icons! These cost $19.99.
And we also saw the new Grogu backpack (aka Baby Yoda) that’s been flying off the shelves! We have also seen it in Magic Kingdom.
The backpack’s design makes it look like you’re carrying your very own Baby Yoda!
And that’s about it for what’s new with Disney World hotels this week! Keep reading DFB for all your Disney World news and updates.
