Disney World released more than 100 new 50th Anniversary items this morning at the Emporium gift shop in Disney’s Magic Kingdom.
But it appears they’re not finished yet! We just spotted another popular merchandise item with a new 50th Anniversary theme in Disney World. Here’s a hint: We DIDN’T find it in the Magic Kingdom.
We found 50th Anniversary popcorn buckets in Disney World! These buckets are the refillable kind — not the boxes that we found in the Magic Kingdom last week.
These new buckets have an EARidescent background with a big “50” logo that has the Cinderella Castle inside the “0.”
All around, you’ll find Disney characters decked out in their 50th Anniversary celebration outfits! Mickey and Minnie Mouse are in a Mad Tea Party Teacup from the ride in Magic Kingdom, with Dumbo flying overhead. We also spotted Orange Bird, Figment, Goofy, Donald Duck, and more!
Pluto is riding a ship from Peter Pan’s Flight, and you can see other classic rides like Space Mountain and “it’s a small world” in the background.
All the park icons are present as well, including the Cinderella Castle, the Tower of Terror, the Tree of Life, and Spaceship Earth.
UPDATE: One of our wonderful DFB readers, Sara W., alerted us to a change about these popcorn buckets, so we went to check it out. We spoke to Cast Members at this spot recently and they noted that the 50th Anniversary popcorn buckets have been removed and are not available to purchase at the moment. The buckets are set to return on October 1st, so be sure to look out for them then! Again, a big thanks to Sara W. for alerting us to this!
Keep following DFB for more news as Disney World’s 50th Anniversary gets closer!
