The holidays at Disney World are just extra special!
There’s all the amazing food, the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays, fun and vibrant merchandise, and all kinds of cool boozy holiday drinks. And as it’s our duty, we will try out ALL of those new drinks so you know what to expect, but today we drank FOUR!
Meet the Martinis Around The World Flight. This is a combination of four drinks inspired by…well…the world!
First up is the Florida Key Lime Pie, which is made with Parrot Bay Rum, Lime Juice, Simple Syrup, and Lime. We’ll admit that this one made us pucker up a bit, because it’s pretty sour, although there is a bit of sweetness in there just like actual key lime pie. If Key Lime Pie were a drink, this would be it, so it’s represented pretty well here!
Next up is the Mexican Poinsetta, which is made with Chateau Ste. Michelle Brut, Cranberry Juice, and Cranberry. We loved this one, which was the perfect combination of sweet AND tart.
The Caribbean Cream is made with Plantation Rum, Rumchata, Joffrey’s Shakin’ Jamaican Cold Brew, and Caramel Syrup. And this one was FABULOUS. It doesn’t look all that great, though, and it even looks like the milk in the rumchatta breaks apart from the mixture of the other ingredients, but it doesn’t affect the texture when you taste it. The bitter coffee taste just makes it that much better, although we think some people might prefer a sweeter drink.
Finally, the Italian Manhattan, which is made with Maker’s Mark, Antica Sweet Vermouth, Amaretto, Cranberry Juice, Angostura Bitters, and Luxardo Cherry, turned out to be our favorite of the four! You can’t go wrong with a classic Manhattan. The flavor of the bourbon is really subtle in this drink. And although there’s a hint of tartness, it’s not TOO sour like the Mexican Martini.
If you would like to try this flight for yourself, it’s available at Geyser Point Bar & Grill for $21 at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. HOWEVER, you won’t find the martini flight on the menu, so you have to ask for it. And after we ordered it, we inspired several other guests to jump on the martini flight train!

This sounds grand, but I’m not sure if any of those drinks is a Martini. Certainly not the (sounds really good) Manhattan. Oh well, at Disney World anything goes! Woo!
Thinking…maybe they’re defining a martini as any cocktail with no ice?
Gray says
So…the answer is that no, they *didn’t* say it?
Patricia Shepard says
I had the same thought as you, Miss Bianca! I was all excited to read about four actual martinis — different gins, vermouths and garnishes . . . these are fun cocktails but NOT martinis. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk. -Martini Snob

I’m a born & raised Floridian from South Florida and I have a peeve when people make drinks, desserts etc. with lime juice and call it Key Lime.
Key Limes have a distinct flavor all their own. They taste nothing like the Persian limes. They also don’t like limes. They’re small, yellow & more sour than a Persian lime.
If you make a Key lime pie & use Persian limes it’s lime pie!
I can’t help it. I grew up eating authentic Key Lime pie. My grandmother grew them & made pies alot!
Thank you for my rant! 🙂
DFB Sarah says
Jennifer, rants about limes are generally accepted. 😉
Patricia Shepard says
Jennifer, I found your rant very enlightening and enjoyable!
