Last fall, Disney Genie and Genie+ launched in Disney World, providing guests with more ways to plan their days in the parks. While Disney Genie is a complimentary service located within My Disney Experience, Genie+ is the new paid version of what used to be FastPass+, costing $15 per guest, per day.
When it first launched, purchasing Genie+ included the ability to book a return time to most rides and attractions. But starting this week, additional guest experiences will be available for booking.
Disney World has updated their website, announcing that select character meet and greets will be included with the purchase of Genie+ starting on Wednesday, January 26th. Over in Magic Kingdom, guests can book return times for access to Lightning Lanes that will expedite their wait times to meet Mickey Mouse in Town Square Theater as well as Tiana and Cinderella at Princess Fairy Tale Hall.
And in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, guests can book a return time for access to the Lightning Lane for an expedited wait time to meet Olaf at Celebrity Spotlight.
Just like the rides around Disney World, standby queues will still be available for guests to use at no additional cost. In addition, Disney World offers several character sightings that pop up around the parks that you can also keep your eyes peeled for without the purchase of Genie+.
There’s a LOT to break down when it comes to mastering Genie and Genie+, so be sure to check out our video below for tips and tricks:
