While we love a good fine-dining experience, sometimes we just need to snack on a cheeseburger or munch on some french fries. Sure, Disney World has plenty of quick-service restaurants with typical theme park foods, but today we’re going OUTSIDE of Disney World (that’s right, we’re venturing out into the real world) to shout out some local Orlando restaurants.
Whether you’re looking for somewhere to eat on your day off from the parks or you need to escape the Disney bubble, we’ve got a list of some UNIQUE fast food locations near Disney World!
World’s Largest McDonald’s
Just outside of Disney World is a national ICON you probably didn’t even know existed! The World’s Largest Entertainment McDonald’s & Playplace is right on International Drive, and it’s pretty hard to miss!
This location serves all the typical McDonald’s foods AND a special chef-prepared Bistro Gourmet menu that includes panini sandwiches, fresh-baked pizza, pasta, and even gourmet cakes, according to the Visit Florida website. You likely won’t have to worry about finding a place to sit at this mega McDonald’s, that’s for sure!
World’s Largest White Castle
Back in 2021, Orlando welcomed a new White Castle location that happened to break some records! The restaurant is known as the largest White Castle in the world! If you were wondering, yeah, it’s pretty big.
White Castle serves little sliders, fries, shakes, drinks, and plenty more — and we have a feeling your bill will be WAY less than a typical Disney World meal.

Hot Dog Hall of Fame
Okay, enough with the burgers, let’s talk hot dogs! No matter what kind of hot dog you like, the Hot Dog Hall of Fame in Universal CityWalk Orlando probably has the ðŸŒÂ dogðŸŒÂ for you!
From a Detroit-style meal to a classic New York combo, this place has practically every kind of hot dog you can imagine! If you’re feeling EXTRA brave, try tacking the Two-Foot Dog for $16.99.
Portillo’s
Speaking of hot dogs, you might also want to check out the Portillo’s in Orlando! This rock ‘n’ roll-themed diner is located at the intersection of Palm Parkway and Daryl Carter Blvd. As you can see, this place really lets you go wild with the toppings!
There are even a few desserts on the menu, so make sure to save room after eating one of those crazy hot dogs!

Honorable Mention
While the Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen at Universal CityWalk Orlando isn’t technically a fast food joint, we had to throw it in as an honorable mention! Seriously, with milkshakes like THAT, how could we not show them off?!
The atmosphere in this restaurant is very well-themed; the story goes that The Emporium and Kitchen come to us thanks to Professor Doctor Penelope Tibeaux-Tinker Toothsome, who traveled the globe in the early 19th century to learn how to infuse chocolate into all sorts of dishes. If you’re looking for a fun place to go with kids, check it out!
