Disney World hotel guests used to all have access to Extra Magic Hours in the theme parks, but that perk was discontinued when the parks shut down for the global pandemic.

Extended Evening Hours at EPCOT

However, Disney did introduce Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours for hotel guests, but they work a bit differently. Early Theme Park Entry is for all Disney hotel guests, while Extended Evening Hours are only for guests staying at a Deluxe or Deluxe Villa Resort. Extended Evening Hours have been happening regularly at EPCOT and Magic Kingdom, but now, you can enjoy them at another park for the first time!

Tonight is the first night of Extended Evening Hours in Hollywood Studios!

This means that today, April 13th, guests staying at qualifying resorts will get 2 extra hours in the park after it officially closes! So from 9PM-11PM, you should be able to enjoy select rides with shorter lines than usual. Note that not everything is open during these extended hours.

Guests wanting to experience the Extended Evening Hours will need a valid admission and a theme park reservation for Hollywood Studios! Those with the Park Hopper option on their ticket or annual pass will need to first enter the park where they made their reservation. During these special hours, not all attractions will be available, but Disney has confirmed that the following will remain open:

• Alien Swirling Saucers
• Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy
• Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
• Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
• Muppet*Vision 3D
• Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith
• Slinky Dog Dash
• Star Tours – The Adventures Continue
• Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
• Toy Story Mania!
• The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

So, you can enjoy a shorter wait for these popular rides in your extra park time! But, keep in mind that these attractions are subject to change, and may not be operational at all times.
