To ensure we are equipping our readers with all the information they need, we will continue to report on all travel, safety, and COVID-related news that could impact a Disney Parks visit.
The most recent closure was originally scheduled to begin on January 7th, 2022, and was supposed to last just over one month, but was then extended through April 20th, an additional two months. We expected this to mean the park would reopen again on April 21st, but Disney hadn’t officially made an announcement — until now!
After following health and safety guidelines and shutting its doors to guests, Hong Kong Disneyland will open its gates once again on April 21st, 2022.
This comes after a nearly four-month closure. Guests will still need valid tickets to enter the park, and will also need to make valid park reservations. Guests will still be able to maximize their time in the park with Disney Premier Access, which provides priority access on 1 to 8 of the most popular attractions and 1 show. More information on Disney Premier Access can be found here.
Guests will also be able to reserve a table for the “Explorer’s Semi-Buffet” at Mystic Point, which is a dining experience inspired by Lord Henry Mystic’s adventures. Guests can make reservations here.
Disney Pals will be returning for selfies, and the “Grand Birthday Celebration Moment” with Mickey and Minnie at Main Street Train Station! New photo spots will also be found at Main Street, U.S.A. and Toy Story Land!
In addition, guests will be required (by local law) to use the LeaveHomeSafe app and fill out the Vaccine Pass requirements before entering the park. You can read more about this on the Hong Kong Disneyland website.
The resort will also continue safety measures like temperature checks, face masks, social distancing, increased cleaning and sanitization, and more.
