NOTE: Some Candlelight Processional Dining Packages may now be available as of 10/27/21.
The Candlelight Processional is back!
The holiday ticketed event, which features a live orchestra and choir as well as a selection of celebrity hosts, is coming back this year after a temporary hiatus last year. Also returning are the Candlelight Processional Dining Packages. And today, we’ve got an update about the dining packages for the event.
Reservations for Candlelight Processional Dining Packages were supposed to open today, but we’ve had issues with booking online. We haven’t been able to see any availability for packages on Disney World’s website or through My Disney Experience. Many of our readers have said they are having the same issue.
We’ll keep trying to book, but it seems to be an issue on Disney’s end online, so we’ll keep you updated. You may be able to call Disney and have someone help you with a dining package, but Disney’s website only mentions booking online, so there’s no guarantee you’ll be able to book over the phone.
UPDATE: We spoke with a Cast Member who confirmed that all reservations for the Candlelight Processional Dining Packages have sold out. They recommended checking the website frequently though, as more reservations may be added in the future.
Let’s take a look at all of the dining package options so you can be prepared when for when reservations become available. Biergarten Restaurant is $62 per adult and $35 per child and will feature Biergarten’s classic German fair.
Coral Reef Restaurant is $74 per adult and $25 per child and will be serving up its usual seafood-heavy cuisine.
The Garden Grill is $71 per adult and $46 per child with plenty of delicious classic American food and its rotating dining room.
Rose & Crown Dining Room is $63 per adult and $25 per child and will have its British-inspired cuisine and pub-like atmosphere.
These dining packages include an appetizer, entrée, and dessert or one full buffet (where applicable), and a non-alcoholic beverage. It also includes one guaranteed seat per person to the Candlelight Processional held on the same day. Stay tuned to DFB for updates on Candlelight Processional Dining Package availability.

Are you planning on getting a Candlelight Processional Dining Package? Let us know in the comments!
Matt says
I tried to book a spot from 4:30 am CT to 6:30 am CT. I only ever saw one Garden Grill option and when I selected it, it was unavailable. I have no idea how they could have sold out so quick and that I only ever saw one option…
Jenni says
Nope been trying since 5:45x
Ana says
I was up at 5:30 and tried until about 9 and NOTHING!! All kinds of Oops notices, etc. I’m very upset with this Disney website.
Warren Pym says
Ridiculous, called 8 am Tuesday and everything all sold out. Somet not right
Brian Smith says
Two of us logged in before 0600, all prepared, but all candlelight dining appointments apparently booked instantly, leaving only the first option stating that there were difficulties. We both called at 0700, got into the cue on the third try, and I was on hold for 2 hours and 8 minutes until an audible message announced at 908 that all processional dining options were booked. About 20 minutes earlier I had checked online for changes, and Garden Grill showed no further appointments instead of the “unable to book” message. I have successfully obtained difficult noon reservations for Be Our Guest and Cinderella’s Table before and group 8 boarding passes for the Resistance, so this was much tougher.
Laurel says
I am getting other reports that this is sold out. Can anyone confirm?
Amy says
Do you not think, because it was on hiatus last year and has much more limited availability this year, that it was simply because it filled up early? I got online at 6 rather than 5:45 because I didn’t think it would go THAT quickly, all that was left was a few spots at Garden Grille in early afternoon, and I got one of the last of those, they were all gone a few minutes later.
Julie says
I logged in at 5:43 a.m. as normal, online is 5:45 a.m. I saw Garden Grill had 4:30 p.m. or 4:40 p.m. on 12/16. I took 4:40 p.m. thinking I would trade it once 5:45 a.m. rolled around and that the rest was still populating. I am glad I took it! I never saw another time/date/restaurant!
Laurel Walker-Natale says
It’s sold out. I was told that because of the “glitch”, people who called were able to book.
Patricia L Schaefer says
So…are they sold out as the message on phone relays??
Ellen says
I can’t believe they sold out so quickly, I’m so disappointed 🙁 We did the dining package before COVID and I don’t remember it being this difficult to get reservations.
Sharon says
I’m just wondering what they are going to do for all of the people who could not get through
Deborah Parker says
Tried to get reservations at Biergarten or Coral Reef Restaurant for candlelight procession dining package on December 4th for four people. Tried for hours but unfortunately unable to secure one. Hopefully more reservations will open up. Will continue to try🤞
Therese says
Oh the frustrations of trying to get a reservation for the Candlelight Processional dining! The struggle is real! Neither the app or the website we working (I tried starting at midnight) yet the calendar said there were openings, but after a call, we heard the same news you did…that everything was booked! Such a bummer!
Kate says
7 am EST must come at different times for other people because I was on exactly then and everything was gone. So frustrating.
Donna says
WDW has been having a lot of issues (at least I have experienced them) with the online dining reservations. I was online at 5:45 to make the candlelight dinning but kept tossing me out or saying no availability until it was 6 am which then tossed me out again and I logged back in. All that was left for the day I wanted (Dec 21) was Garden Grill when we really wanted Rose & Crown. Tried several other dates which all showed the same. I quickly decided to grab the Garden Grill so at least we do have that package. I had similar issues with dining for my trip in Dec (staying in Disney resort for 3 weeks over the holidays) with it making me log in several times on app and website (prefer website for dinning). Frequently showing nothing until time is 6 vs 5:45. Yet the first 10 days reservation I was able to do at 5:45 but not all the following dates.
Is everyone having same issues with all dining ?
TimJK says
Guess Disney out. On hold for over three hours yesterday to be told that everything sold out in six (6) minutes and being unable to secure a reservation online. Today I was able to get online two separate reservations of four at the Biergarten on November 26th for the 7PM show. I was hoping this would be the case as yesterday the only reservations we saw poster were for the Garden Grill. Disney’s reservation site really needs work.
Carolyn says
I spent 2 1/2 hrs on hold yesterday(Disney dining line).I called promptly at 7:00am.Just when I was ready to hang up,I got a recorded announcement saying the processional dining pkgs.were sold out.
Ray L Darville says
I tried to book the Candlelight Processional for more than two hours. I called DVC (we are members) and after a 45 minute wait was told Disney had a small supply of the packages (no explanation given). There were no openings at any of the restaurants for the entire week we are planning to be at WDW in December. We were told that they may have more openings and they may generate more events on more days. She told me that there may be an hour to three hours stand-by line before some of the events.
Mamasay says
I have not been able to get ANY dining reservations. My daughter and I were up most of the night and up at 6am trying to get dining reservations for the candlelight processional! This is ridiculous. This trip that was supposed to be a celebration is turning out to be sooo stressful. Am I the only one who feels this way? I have spent so much money for a trip that seems inferior to past trips.
Linda says
I was up at 3:00 am HST and saw three slots available for Biergarten but to be honest I wasn’t impressed with the line up of stars this year so I just booked at Biergarten for just dinner instead. Hard when we saw Whoopi last time so where do we go from there
Karen Burkhard says
Disney needs to inform people WHEN more reservations for the Candlelight packages will be made available. I tried at 5:45 on Oct. 26 and NONE were available or it said they were unable to process at this time. I have tried every day now, but this is no way to treat people. I hope a comment is made from Disney to explain. Thanks!
Diane Levendakes says
I really wanted to do this, but the website just kept saying, they were having trouble accessing tables. I kept on for an hour and still received the same message. Disney Dining by phone said all circuits were busy & hung up. I dialed Guest services and asked for special dining and was on hold for 2 hours, when a message came on saying all reservations for the candlelight processional have been sod out. Then it hung up. Okay, I was through at this point, so no C.processional for me!
Diana Mahurin says
We want to book as our daughter is singing. There is no availability.
Mary says
We started trying to book the moment they opened and nothing was available. Wonder how it sold out??
Madelyn says
While staying at a Disney resort, I was up at 5:30 trying to snag a reservation for late November. I kept refreshing the screen, but only got the message that they couldn’t process the request at that time. When the phone reservation center opened at 7 am, the online comment was that there were no reservations available for that time. I tried all 4 restaurants for all times during the day, and by 7:05, all were gone. I never saw one restaurant with any availability. Such a disappointment. There really needs to be a better way to do this.
Linda says
Just got on. Quite a few spots available for CP. must have opened up more slots
DFB Sarah says
Linda, yes, more opened up yesterday!
Joel says
I was able to book a regular reservation for Biergarten restaurant on December 8 when there was no narrator listed for that day. Now that they have a narrator will I be able to obtain a seat for the candlelight processional?
DFB Sarah says
Joel, only if you bought into the Dining Package. You could call Disney to see if they have availability for the package or any other suggestions.
Patrick says
I recently made a dining reservation at Biergarten for next Tuesday (11/30). The dining reservation is at 4 pm, but in my reservation it says “CAN – Biergarten (8:30 PM) Dinner”. I am assuming this means that I am in for the 8:30 showing of the Candlelight processional?
I have made several other reservations at the Epcot restaurants associated with CP that day between 4-5 pm and none of them have the CAN prefix ahead of them.
Thanks for clarification for anyone who can provide more details!
DFB Sarah says
Patrick, I’d say you’re correct in assuming that CAN refers to Candlelight Processional, but our team hasn’t seen that so can’t confirm. You might try giving Disney a buzz to see if they can confirm for you.
DFB Sarah says
Patrick — updating! Two other members of our team have personal reservations for Candlelight Processional, and they say the CAN shows for them. So you should be good to go for the 830 show!
Linda says
Yes seeing them everyday. Also don’t put on any filters such as one specific park. And if you pick lunch/dinner it isn’t accurate for some reason. I know it’s tedious to pick each hour, but I got a reservation that way whereas lunch or dinner the restaurant didn’t show as available. This was true for our wdw trip next week and dl in January. Possible glitches I guess
