In mid-June Disney World announced that Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party would be canceled this year.
But, uncertainty still remained over Christmastime offerings like Magic Kingdom’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays, and Candlelight Processional.
Previously, Disney stated they “are monitoring our new environment closely, and will make a decision on these events as we continue to learn more from government and health officials,” but now they’ve confirmed this year’s Candlelight Processional has been canceled.
The Candlelight Processional is a celebrity-narrated performance that traditionally includes a 50-piece orchestra and choir composed of Cast Members and visitors who are invited to perform from around the county. The performances took place three times each evening at the America Gardens Theater in the American Pavilion in EPCOT during the holidays.
In the statement issued today, Disney said: “Other holiday experiences that draw big crowds will be on hiatus this year…such as Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Candlelight Processional at EPCOT.“
While this particular event, and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, will not be back this year, other holiday events will be returning. We’ll keep an eye out for more holiday news, and let you know what we find. Come back for all the latest Disney news!

Did you predict this year’s Candlelight Processional would be canceled? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below.
Great food coupled with a great and moving story if you bought the package. I would recommend it to anyone and will anxiously waiting for its return. I loved to stand in the back and enjoy the orchestra and carolers
It’s not surprising, as it would’ve been a logistical nightmare, but as a cast choir member I was still holding onto a little bit of hope. This year has been so sad.
Please can you tell me if you have any ingormation on when the water parks will open next year. We are hopefully coming from the uk in april 2021 and we also have park hopper passes and we DID HAVE DISNEY DINING TOO so if yiu have any info on the return of both meal plans and park hopping as well then that would be great.!!! This is the third time we have delayed our trip. We were coming june, then october and now its april 2021!!!!!!!, miss you all so much.
Clare, unfortunately we don’t have information on the reopening of the water parks or the reinstatement of DDP. But we will update as soon as we do!
