Halloween is an exciting time in the Disney parks!
Disney recently announced that, for the first time since 2019, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will be returning to the Magic Kingdom this year! We also got the news that the Oogie Boogie Bash will be returning to Disneyland Resort, as well. Now, we know when another popular Halloween tradition will be returning too.
Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion Holiday will be returning on September 2nd, 2022. For those who don’t know, Haunted Mansion Holiday is a ride overlay that typically takes effect around September each year in Disneyland.
The ride usually closes for a while before the start of the overlay, and when it reopens, it is decorated with a combination of Halloween and Christmas decor, as well as characters from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. The overlay usually lasts until Halloween is over. These touches can be seen outside of the ride in the queue, as well as throughout the ride itself.
Haunted Mansion Holiday isn’t the only Halloween touch coming to Disneyland Resort this fall. Guests at both parks will be able to meet characters dressed up in their Halloween costumes, see intricately carved pumpkins on Main Street, U.S.A., and eat some delicious Halloween snacks and treats!
And there is, of course, the Oogie Boogie Bash, which will take place on select nights in September and October. Tickets for this event go on sale later this month.
As Halloween gets closer, we’ll be on the lookout for more spooky news and updates from both Disney World and Disneyland Resort, so make sure to stay tuned to DFB for all the latest!
