Calling all ghosts and ghouls — it’s time to get ready for HALLOWEEN!

Are There Any Discounts?
There are discounts for select guests. Specifically, Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members can save $10 per ticket to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on select event nights. Be sure to check what event nights qualify.
When Can You Buy Tickets?
All guests can start buying tickets on May 18th, 2022.
But, those staying at guests of Disney World Resort hotels, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Shades of Green can actually start purchasing tickets EARLY — on May 12th, 2022.
Disney does note that “Tickets are limited and may not be available for purchase on the day of the event (or earlier).” So if this event is a must-do for you, be sure to mark those calendars and grab those tickets as soon as you can!
Where Do I Buy Tickets?
You will be able to purchase tickets online on Disney World’s website or by calling 407-939-4240.
When Does the Event Start?
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will start at 7PM and run through midnight on the nights when it is available.
But ticket holders won’t have to wait until 7PM to get into the park! If you buy a ticket to Not-So-Scary, you’ll actually be able to enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4PM on the date of your ticket.
Note that you do NOT need a separate theme park admission or theme park reservation to attend Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. All you’ll need is that ticket for the party itself, which will let you into the park as early as 4PM and let you stay through the end of the party at midnight.
Fireworks
There WILL be a special fireworks show offered during Not-So-Scary. Specifically, party guests will get to watch Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular, a Halloween-themed fireworks display which includes projections, special effects, special lighting, fireworks (of course), and Disney characters.
The fireworks display will actually be hosted by Jack Skellington from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.
This show debuted in 2019. In 2019, it featured a life-size puppet of Jack Skellington that realistically walked, talked, and scared folks like the true Pumpkin King!
During the fireworks, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy are swept away to a haunted house. There, they might just find dancing skeletons, ghosts, and Disney villains too!

Parade
In 2022, Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade will officially be BACK for fans to enjoy. The parade will be offered twice nightly.
The parade will once again start with the Headless Horseman riding his horse down Main Street, U.S.A. WE CANNOT WAIT!
You’ll then get to watch floats featuring Disney characters dressed in their very best Halloween outfits, see Disney villains “reign over a Fantasyland-inspired grand finale,” check out those iconic Haunted Mansion graveyard diggers, hitchhiking ghosts, and the “spectral Bride” (who will glide among “waltzing spirits”) in a Haunted Mansion section, watch as pirates sail in from Adventureland, and even dance around as Clarabelle hosts a square dance.
It’s a PARTY.

More Entertainment
In terms of other entertainment, fans will also get to enjoy the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular! During this stage show, you’ll get to see the Sanderson Sisters call upon their fellow villains to create the ultimate Hocus Pocus Party Potion and cast a spell on YOU!
🎃 ✨ JUST ANNOUNCED: Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is returning to Magic Kingdom Aug. 12 – Oct. 31 during Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebration! https://t.co/1akjXeLijy #HalfwaytoHalloween pic.twitter.com/vndODwoPuJ

Be sure to watch for appearances from characters like Dr. Facilier, Oogie Boogie, and Maleficent. There will also be dancers, projections, special effects, and more featured in the show.
Over at Storybook Circus, kids of all ages can “boogie down” at the Disney Junior Jam. Here, you’ll find some of your favorite characters from Disney Junior shows. This was a new addition back in 2018 and will be returning this year.
Of course, trick-or-treating will be available for all guests to enjoy. Disney has said that guests will be able to “roam the trick-or-treat trails” to grab all kinds of sweet treats. The candy available will include M&M’S, SKITTLES, SNICKERS, and other Halloween favorites.
If you have a food allergy, be sure to see a Cast Member and obtain a teal-colored bag. Disney has noted that those trick-or-treating with the teal bags will get a teal token at the treat stations. These can later be redeemed at the Allergy-Friendly Centers for special treats.
Disney has also shared that (NEW to the party this year) guests will get a “reusable trick-or-treat bag featuring a keepsake 50th Anniversary celebration and Halloween design.” We’ll be really interested to see what these reusable bags look like!
Also new to the party this year, as part of the 50th Anniversary celebrations there will be “event-exclusive step-in photo opportunities.”
Guests will also get a “Halloween-themed 50th Anniversary celebration commemorative print!”
And we can’t forget about the Cadaver Dans Barbershop Quartet! The Cadaver Dans will be back at it again, singing up some spooktacular tunes! You’ll generally find them over in Frontierland.
You’ll also want to watch for Disney characters in Halloween costumes throughout the park! Characters will be available for guests to take photos with during the party. You’ll even get to see the very popular Madame Carlotta and Madame Renatta!

The Tomorrowland Terrace party has reserved seating, while the Plaza Gardens one has a reserved area for standing to watch the fireworks. Both the parties include treats, snacks, and drinks.

What time will tickets be available for guests staying on property?
Karen says
Very exciting – the return of Mickey’s not so scary Halloween Party! One question regarding an otherwise very informative report… Are their complimentary drinks, snacks and ice cream bars included this year?
brandon says
That Milkshake was the ABSOLUTE WORST thing we’ve ever tasted. I NEVER throw food away. And I threw this away.
Arielle says
Are the Lightning Lanes open (Genie+ times) during the event? I don’t think the FastPass lanes were open in the past but with the opportunity to make extra money, I wouldn’t put it past Disney.
DFB Gigi says
Hi Arielle. There are no Lightning Lanes during the Halloween Party because capacity is low and most rides are walk-ons.
Sam says
If I am already at the Magic Kingdom park that day, will I also have to purchase a ticket to this Halloween event? I assume so, but just wanted to be sure.
DFB Gigi says
Hi Sam! Yes, the Halloween Party is a separate ticketed event.
CiCi says
Hi! Am I inferring correctly that the trick or treat bag and commemorative print are complimentary with the party ticket?! Thanks!
DFB Gigi says
Hi Cici, yes, those will be included for no extra charge.
