Halloween is officially HERE in Disney World!
Tonight is the very first night of BOO Bash in Magic Kingdom! It takes the place of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this year and we’re at the event checking everything out for you! We’ve seen special spooky food, amazing costumes, and everywhere you can trick-or-treat! And there’s a TON of exciting entertainment we need to tell you ALL about!
Cavalcades
This year’s theme is: cavalcades! Not really — but there are SO MANY of them during this After Hours event, it’s awesome! First up is Mickey’s Happy Halloween Cavalcade, which comes through at 9:55PM starting in Frontierland.
It makes a loop around the Hub in front of Cinderella Castle, and exits back the same way it came through Frontierland!
Then, the cavalcade comes through again at 11:25PM, this time starting in Frontierland and going all the way down Main Street, U.S.A!

Next was the Disney Villains Halloween Cavalcade which you can see in the streets at 10:30PM and 11:45PM. We saw villains like Dr. Facilier from Princess and the Frog…
…the Evil Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs…
…the Red Queen from Alice in Wonderland and Captain Hook from Peter Pan…
…as well as the Bowler Hat Guy from Meet the Robinsons and Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmations (and Cruella, of course!).
Boo Bash is the villains’ time to shine, and they definitely made that known tonight!
It’s the Disney Villain Halloween Cavalcade! BTW, when is Bowler Hat Guy going to start giving dancing lessons? #BooBash pic.twitter.com/yxtpV1vIRe

Then we saw Jack’s Nightmare Cavalcade! The Pumpkin King comes into town at 10:40PM and 11:55PM. Jack Skellington and Sally were out together in front of Cinderella Castle.
And they were joined by Oogie Boogie himself!
It’s not Halloween without Jack, Sally, and Oogie!

Finally, there was Maleficent’s Fiery Prowl, which can be seen at 10:50PM or 12:05AM, if you dare!
The Mistress of Evil made her way through Magic Kingdom along with her scary comrades!
But, Maleficent didn’t breathe any fire tonight, which makes the name of her “prowl” seem a little confusing…

…but either way, we are excited to see her float again!
Cadaver Dans Barbershop Quartet
Also returning to the spooky festivities this year are the Cadaver Dans Barbershop Quartet!
They perform over in Frontierland at 9:40PM, 10:20PM, 11:05PM, and 12:10AM.

DJ Dance Party
And happening ALL night is the DJ Dance Party over in Tomorrowland! On our way over we noticed some fun projections on the ground like this Jack-o’-lantern…
…and this creepy crawly spider!
We finally made it to the dance floor and…no one was there!
Then there were two other Cast Members trying to get the party started, but no one was around to join in.
The DJ Dance Party in Tomorrowland could use some more dancers… 👻 #BooBash pic.twitter.com/hOWNWyYNC8

Hopefully, it will pick up as the night goes on!
If you want to go get your oogie boogie on, you can for the whole party — from 9:30PM to 12:30AM!
Characters
Want to see some characters in their best Halloween costumes? Then you’re in luck! There are character sightings all around the park. First, we saw Goofy over across from Pirates of the Caribbean (where Jack Sparrow usually comes out) in Adventureland!
He’s dressed up as a pirate!
He waved hello to us using his ears!
We love to see Pirate Goofy! 🏴☠️ #BooBash pic.twitter.com/LXmDF9WbHS
— AJ Wolfe (@DisneyFoodBlog) August 11, 2021
Then we saw some of our friends from the Hundred Acre Wood at The Crystal Palace, like Piglet dressed as a butterfly!
The whole gang was out on the porch!
Piglet seemed to be having a better time than Eeyore was, of course!
Here’s Piglet and Eeyore! #BooBash pic.twitter.com/LUroEhbllv
— AJ Wolfe (@DisneyFoodBlog) August 11, 2021
Eeyore was dressed up like a clown…
…Pooh was a honey bee, of course…
…and Tigger was a pirate!
He was having a grand ol’ time!
It’s Pirate Tigger! #BooBash pic.twitter.com/hUGEeGgdwo

Over at the Haunted Mansion, the famous Madame Carlotta was out in front of the house interacting with guests!
She is very entertaining and great to have a conversation with if you’re over at the Mansion!
We LOVE when we see Madame Carlotta outside Haunted Mansion! 🔮 #BooBash pic.twitter.com/tNF5WGr4KZ

Stop on by to say hello!
In Fantasyland, Foulfellow and Gideon are out at Pinocchio Village Haus!
We have to say…they’re kind of scary looking, which works for Halloween, we guess?
We found Foulfellow and Gideon! #BooBash pic.twitter.com/9YHlDBbzJw
— AJ Wolfe (@DisneyFoodBlog) August 11, 2021
And back over in Frontierland, we found Chip ‘n’ Dale! Chip is a pirate (why are so many characters pirates this year?) and Dale is a vampire!
They’re all decked out and ready for trick-or-treating!
This is Halloween…with Chip ‘n’ Dale! #BooBash pic.twitter.com/KOMqLJh9AO

Which cavalcade are you most excited about? Tell us in the comments!
beautiful gorgeous says
Visitors noticed less crowds for this sold out event. Lines for popular attractions were walk ons. Perhaps if they had previous crowd numbers, the cast members in Tomorrowland would not have been dancing with no people around.
Mr . JOHN says
The characters are so cute I love to see them all in Halloween and other costumes. The cavalcade are the best that Disney can do right at this time . The cost is the problem people can not afford to spend extra money
