A Disneyland vacation just got more expensive in more ways than one. We saw some major ticket price increases, and Genie+ now costs $5 more than it used to. Unfortunately, that’s not where the price increases end.
Earlier, we noticed that the Savi’s Workshop lightsaber building experience and the Droid Depot got more expensive at Disney World’s Hollywood Studios. Now, those same price increases have hit Disneyland as well.
At the Droid Depot in Disneyland’s Galaxy’s Edge, you can assemble a custom droid and then take it home with you. You can choose between a BB-series, a C-series, or an R-series and then pair your creation with a remote control.
This experience (including purchasing the droid itself) used to be $99.99, but now it’ll cost $119.99 plus tax (a $20 increase).
Over at Savi’s Workshop (also located in Galaxy’s Edge), you can build your own custom lightsaber.
You can choose from 4 different hilt themes — Peace & Justice, Power & Control, Elemental Nature, or Protection & Defense — and 4 different colors of kyber crystals — red, blue, green, or violet.
Building a custom lightsaber used to cost $219.99, but the price has gone up to $249.99 plus tax (a $30 increase).
So your next trip to Galaxy’s Edge might be more expensive if you were planning on taking part in one of these activities. But we want to help you save some money so that you can still fit them into your budget — check out our page on Disney Discounts and Deals to see all kinds of promotions and offers that could help you save some serious cash.
