Are you in the mood for some festive holiday treats?
It’s the most wonderful time of the year in Disney World to try out all those magical holiday flavors, like gingerbread cookies, peppermint treats, and more, and now we’re here with two more special treats!
We visited Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory in Disney’s Port Orleans — French Quarter Resort to try two menu items, including a Magic Bar and Gingerbread-spiced Caramel Blondie Bites!
Let’s start out with the Magic Bar, made with a blend of chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, walnuts, and coconut with a graham cracker crust for $6.29. In the past, we’ve seen variations of the Magic Bar at Riverside Mill Court at Disney’s Port Orleans — Riverside Resort and Roaring Fork in Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

The red and green icing makes this Magic Bar quite festive for the holiday season, and it was rich and PACKED with lots of different flavors! You may have heard this kind of dessert referred to as a “seven-layer bar” due to all the ingredients.
Fans of sweets — this is the dessert for you! Not only is it really sweet, but it’s also very shareable due to just how sweet and rich it is. Of course, you can easily eat this on your own if your sweet tooth can handle it!
Next up are the Gingerbread-spiced Caramel Blondie Bites and for $4.99, you get a bag of approximately eight bites to share (or eat on your own, we won’t judge).

We found these bites super squishy and soft yet chewy, which was surprising since we expected them to be on the sticky-chewy side of the spectrum! You can REALLY taste the ginger and we thought they were pretty good.
That said, there was some kind of off-putting flour texture on the outside of the bites that left a strange taste and texture in our mouths, so that was a bit odd, but the overall taste of them is delicious!
Head to Disney’s Port Orleans — French Quarter Resort to give either of these treats a try, and while you’re there you might want to stop by the Scat Cat’s Club Cafe to get some Peppermint Mickey Beignets!
