Well, we DO because we love all the unique flavors released each month. We’ve recently tried some delicious non-dairy flavors, ice cream covered in…perfume, and even ice cream with bugs in it! Well, this month’s selection of flavors sounds ESPECIALLY enticing because it’s all about CHOCOLATE!

Salt & Straw has announced its February series of flavors called The Chocolatier Series. These ice creams are made with special chocolate created by Salt & Straw’s favorite chocolatiers. OH, YEAH!

There are SIX new chocolatey flavors to try including Fran’s Almond Gold Bar, which is made with Fran’s Chocolates Almond Gold Bars cut into bite-sized pieces and mixed with salted vanilla ice cream with ribbons of hand-burned caramel and dark chocolate stracciatella drizzled in.

There’s also Cloudforest Chocolate Ishpingo & Mango, made with lemon verbena sherbert spiced with ispingo (a warm cinnamon-like spice), swirled with dark chocolate ice cream, created in a collaboration with Cloudforest, and a ripple of mango curd.

The Dandelion Cocoa Nibs & Frangipane is made with Dandelion’s dark cocoa nibs that have been roasted and candied. The flavor also includes a frangipane swirl with bits of crushed almonds.

Coffee AND chocolate lovers will want to try the Compartés Coffee & Love Nuts, made with a caramel-y medium roast coffee from Colombia, blended with Salt & Straw’s cream, and studded with Compartés Love Nuts (pecans caramelized in Tahitian vanilla, sprinkled with sea salt, and coated in 14 layers of chocolate). Oh, my!

The final flavor is Exquisito Guanabana Stracciatella, made with Guanabana (or soursop) fruit with guanabana sherbet, with Exquisito floral dark chocolate stracciatella.

These flavors will be available all month long at the Salt & Straw locations in both Disney World and Disneyland, so if any of these sound good to you, head on over to Disney Springs or Downtown Disney RIGHT NOW!
