We’re getting so close to the return of Magic Kingdom‘s Happily Ever After fireworks show!
We found out in September that this beloved show would be returning in a new way after Disney World’s 50th Anniversary ended. The show will replace the Disney Enchantment fireworks show. It’s set to return on April 3rd, 2023, and we just got a first look during a media event at Disney World. Come with us to check it out!
As a reminder, this new show isn’t exactly the same as the Happily Ever After you remember. Although most of the show is the same, Disney has added some new elements, including projections all the way down Main Street, U.S.A. Disney Enchantment was the first fireworks show in Disney World to have these projections down Main Street, and that element will now be carried over to Happily Ever After.
Next up at this #mediaevent is a special preview of #HappilyEverAfter 🥹🎆 and we learned that, although the show itself will essentially be the same, there will be the added element of Main Street projections! ✨#AllTheDisneyThrills #WaltDisneyWorld pic.twitter.com/R21jECUM5u

We took our places to watch the show — the anticipation was real! The last time we saw Happily Ever After was on September 29th, 2021, which we thought would be its last show ever.
READY TO BEGIN 🥹✨😭🎆👏 pic.twitter.com/hjsWYClNqy

I am excited about Happily Ever After, but I’ve been trying to get info about the HEA dessert parties. Are there going to be any, when will they start having them, etc. The Enchanted Extras Page says they will have them and keep checking back. But we’re running out of time. Anyone know anything new????
Thank you for showing this HAPPILY EVER AFTER! I got chills all over again. I did feel the tears too. Thank you. I surely missed this, and am so very glad it’s BACK.
If Happily was so wonderful and loved, it wouldn’t have had such an incredibly short run the first time. It cannot compare to Wishes which had more heart and a better storyline. Wishes will forever be the benchmark. My favorite thing about Happily was that it was the one and only Magic Kingdom show that I stopped dealing with crowds in the hub and did other things in the park.
