Disney World is constantly a work in progress, just like Walt Disney himself intended.
At Disney World, EPCOT is undergoing a massive transformation, a new ride just opened in Magic Kingdom, a new restaurant just opened in Hollywood Studios, and construction continues on new DVC villas at the Polynesian Village Resort, a restaurant in Disney Springs, and a restaurant on Disney’s BoardWalk. Now, though, ongoing construction at another resort has actually been extended.
The rooms at Disney’s Beach Club Resort have been getting a refurbishment, which started back in January. The original timeline for the project had the construction done by April 2023, but that date has since changed.
According to the Beach Club Resort page on the Disney World website, the refurbishment of rooms will be ongoing through late this fall. Disney notes that guests may see and hear construction during the day, but that noise levels should return to normal between dusk and 9AM. However, all resort amenities will remain available to guests during the construction period.
Disney has not yet revealed what kind of changes are in store for the rooms, but we’ve seen other hotels at the resort get rooms themed to specific Disney movies, like The Incredibles rooms at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, the Mary Poppins Returns rooms at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and the Moana rooms at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort will also soon be getting rooms inspired by The Little Mermaid.
We’ll let you know if we get any other updates about the new rooms at Beach Club and what they might look like, so stay tuned to DFB for more!

The refurbishment is only at the Beach Club Villas.
I bet the refurbishment is to make most of the rooms for DVC. Time will tell, that way they can make more money. It’s all about those dollars going into their coffers.
