2023 is a BIG year of changes for Disney World!
Beach Club Resort in Disney World
New additions are coming to EPCOT and Magic Kingdom, and we’re also getting some major updates at the hotels.
The Beach Club Resort started getting room refurbishments on January 7th. The updates will last through late fall.

During this time, amenities will remain available for use at the resort, and while you might hear some construction noise during the daytime, guests shouldn’t hear any disruptions between dusk and 9AM. Disney hasn’t yet revealed what the refurbishment will look like, but we’ll keep watching for any announcements or photos.

We can’t wait to see the refreshed hotel rooms! This is just the next in a long line of hotel room updates, including past changes at the Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Contemporary, Wilderness Lodge, and more. We’ve also seen significant room updates at the All-Star Resorts.

From what we saw on our last trip to Disney I would like to suggest that they start doing some serious upkeep and cleaning as the mold is really beginning to show Badly in multiple locations! Things do not look well kept anymore! I’m really sorry to see this but something can surely be done. Pay attention Disney. I used to marvel at how immaculate D was but sadly those days have passed 🥲
I appreciate the room updates but when are they going to bring back all the character dining? I love the Grand Floridian but the lack of 1900 Park Fare, Afternoon Tea, Princess Tea were some of the main reasons I stayed here. The loss of the band is also a disappointment. WDW has over a year to bring back a lot of our favorites and they haven’t.
Your story isn’t totally complete. Not only are Beach Club hotel rooms being refurbished but also DVC rooms.

The last time they did rooms and whole Beach Club resort they ruined it! It used to be our family favorite and it was fun and beach club theme and casual but changed to boring ! The Villas are ugly – rooms! Bring back the fun beach theme and ceiling fans .
As far as nighttime at Magic Kingdom- the projections on buildings is somewhat entertaining but what happened to the nighttime parades? I can’t believe they didn’t bring back Main Street Electric Parade for the so called big 50th anniversary celebration.
Is it definitely ‘all’ rooms throughout the hotel receiving a refurb? I have just booked and WDW lady said that they were done the same time as Yacht Club but I am not sure that’s correct judging by the reviews…
