After 30 years of staying at Disney World hotels, there are three I just keep coming back to, and you might want to book this one for your next vacation.
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
I believe that some Disney World resorts are just made for you. Maybe you enjoy the immersive theming of Art of Animation, or you really love having access to the monorail from your resort. I’ve stayed at most of the Disney World resorts in my life, but now there are just three that my family can’t stop booking.
Disney World hotel rooms aren’t just where you collapse after 28,000 steps, a camera roll full of Instagrammable snacks, and ugly-cry during a fireworks show. They are also full of weird little surprises.
Bay Lake Tower
Some of them are practical. Some of them are adorable. Some of them are oddly specific in a way only Disney could pull off, because the Disney marketing team snuck a tiny hotel-room detail that makes you whisper, “Wait, did Mickey just emotionally manipulate me into booking another trip?” (Yes. Yes, he did.)

Disney’s Beach Club
Often, Disney World resorts get scheduled for construction to update common areas, makeover the hotel rooms, or just do general maintenance in common areas. Disney World’s website will include this information on the resort pages, so you know what to expect. And if you’re staying at Beach Club soon, there’s a construction timeline update we have to share!
There are plenty of dining options at Disney World, and here at DFB, we are huge fans of the resort lounges. These can often be overlooked, but they offer a relaxed atmosphere, and you can usually find scrumptious food and tasty drinks at these tucked-away locations. Plus, they don’t require reservations, so you can stop by whenever you are looking for a bite to eat or just somewhere to relax with a drink.
Martha’s Vineyard
Martha’s Vineyard at Disney’s Beach Club Resort recently added some new items to its menu. Of course, we had to make a stop by to try them out, and we are bringing you all along with us! Are these new eats and drinks worth a stop by the Beach Club? We are finding out!

The Beach Club!
From minor construction and refurbishment to full-scale room renovations and pool overhauls, it can be hard to tell what scrim and construction walls you may encounter during your vacation. Recently, a major project wrapped up at Disney’s Beach Club — the porte cochere is looking fresh and new again!
While Disney World is known for its rides, shows, and nighttime entertainment, if you’re looking to relax while on vacation, look no further than your Disney resort pool!

I have swam in different Disney World resort pools, and I’ve definitely developed some favorites. Each pool has its own unique charm. From the atmosphere to the amenities to how easy it is to grab a snack or drink while you relax. Whether you’re planning a rest day or just want to make the most of those pool hours, these are the three resort pools that truly stand out.
These days, we’re seeing construction all OVER Disney World.
Disney’s Beach Club Resort
Many Disney World hotels are getting updates and changes, and that makes planning your visit for an overnight stay a little bit complicated. Currently, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort and Disney’s Beach Club Resort are some of the resorts on the refurbishment list, and their construction projects just got extended!
A popular Disney World hotel pool has been closed since January 2025, but we just noticed a HUGE hint that this pool will likely be opening sometime soon!
Stormalong Bay construction in April 2025
Stormalong Bay is a popular pool at Disney’s Beach Club Resort and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. It is HUGE and has great amenities such as a sand pool bottom, a waterslide, and more. The pool is expected to reopen sometime in June, and you will never guess what we just saw!

There are a lot of ways to make your Disney World vacation feel extra fancy. If I had endless funds, there are a few things that immediately come to mind, including booking a VIP Tour, a private fireworks cruise, and dinner at the chef’s table at Victoria & Albert’s. Of course, we have to talk about the fanciest hotel rooms at Disney World!
Quick service restaurants at Disney World hotels don’t always have the best reputations. Many people will opt to skip the food courts at the value and moderate Disney World hotels if they have the chance, and even the grab-and-go food at the deluxe resorts isn’t really much to write home about most of the time.

However, there’s always the chance that you’ll find a hidden gem menu item at one of these hotels, so recently, we visited Beach Club Marketplace at Disney’s Beach Club Resort to see if the food there is praiseworthy.
