If you’re staying at a Disney World Resort in the future, you’ll want to check out the refurbishment calendar before you go on your vacation!
Disney’s Beach Club
Often, Disney World resorts get scheduled for construction to update common areas, makeover the hotel rooms, or just do general maintenance in common areas. Disney World’s website will include this information on the resort pages, so you know what to expect. And if you’re staying at Beach Club soon, there’s a construction timeline update we have to share!
Work on the exterior of the buildings at Disney’s Beach Club Resort has been happening for a little while, now. This project included an update to the porte cochere at the hotel entrance a few months back, but it continues to affect many other areas of the resort. Now, the project timeline has been extended through late 2027.

When we’ve visited recently, parts of the hotel have been covered in scaffolding. This work is fairly visible, and Disney warns that it will impact views from various areas around the hotel — meaning your room view may not be as magical as you’d hoped. You may also be required to take alternate paths to get around the resort.

You may see and hear construction work in the area during daytime hours if you’re visiting. Make sure to heed all signage and practice caution near construction zones. We’ve seen the timeline for this particular project shift its ending date several times, so if you’re considering this hotel, you’ll want to double-check the website before booking to see if the refurbishment dates are still set through late 2027.
Beach Club Lobby
The good news is that the main offerings at Beach Club are still available! One of the biggest draws for this resort is the Stormalong Bay Pool, which it shares with Yacht Club. Also, this hotel is home to Cape May Cafe, which hosts a character breakfast with Minnie Mouse and pals, and the fan-favorite Beaches & Cream Soda Shop, where you can find the giant Kitchen Sink Sundae (it serves FOUR people!).

Another big draw of Beach Club is that it’s the closest you can actually stay to any of the theme parks. Room 1501 (and surrounding rooms) at this hotel are literally just a few hundred steps away from the International Gateway entrance to EPCOT. On a day reporting in the parks, I once counted those steps out loud — it’s 245 steps away from the EPCOT Skyliner station, if you were wondering.
