These Disney Springs CLOSURES Could Affect Your Trip

If you’re looking for something cheap to do in Disney World, a trip to Disney Springs is in order!

It’s free to visit the shopping and dining complex and there are plenty of things to do! From dozens of stores and delicious restaurants to unique entertainment offerings and even rides on hot air balloons, you certainly won’t get bored! But if you’re heading to Disney Springs soon, there are some closures you need to know about.

Permanent Closures

We’ve had a few places close permanently in Disney Springs recently that you might want to know about. First up is the Sosa Family Cigars store that was located on the West Side. This location shut down in January 2023, and so far, nothing has yet replaced it.

Another shop that closed permanently is the Ugg store located in Town Center in Disney Springs. It was in a pretty prime retail location, but it closed down in March 2023 to be replaced with something new. Disney hasn’t yet announced what its replacement will be.

Inside The Marketplace, you’ll find a variety of different shops. For a little while, there was a National Geographic store located in this area, but it was recently replaced with the Dress Shop.

Now most of the back of the store and the left corner are all “fancy” items like designer dresses, bags, and artwork.

Temporary Closures

Right now, there are also a few temporary closures that might affect your visit to Disney Springs. For starters, the Sunglass Hut on the West Side is undergoing a refurbishment. While the store is closed, you can purchase sunglasses from a temporary merchandise truck instead.

In Town Center, the store Uno de 50 has been closed for a few months now to get a refurbishment. This shop sells “unique jewelry for women and men” and has not announced a reopening date at this time.

The third place that’s temporarily closed isn’t really a refurbishment — it’s a project under construction! Right now, work is being made on Summer House on the Lake, a new restaurant coming to Disney Springs later this year.

We can’t wait!

This restaurant is set to open late in 2023, and we’re excited to check it out when it does!
