Hacking a Cheesy Bacon Donut at Everglazed Donuts and Cold Brew. Ordering secret Pork Satay Skewers at Jungle Navigation Co., Ltd. Skipper Canteen. When it comes to Disney food, we’ve done it all.
We’re in the parks every day looking for all the best food tips and secrets so that we can share them with you. Did you know there’s a sauce hiding in Magic Kingdom that’s dedicated to one of the park’s most eccentric characters? Well, you’re about to!
Over in Magic Kingdom‘s Tomorrowland, Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe serves up some classic American fare, like burgers, hot dogs, and chicken nuggets. While you dine, an audio-animatronic alien lounge crooner, Sonny Eclipse, serenades you from his galactic piano. While he was missing for a bit, this jazz-playing alien is back in action. Something you might not know about Sonny is that he inspired a very special SAUCE at this restaurant!
On this restaurant’s menu, you’ll find a 1/3 lb Angus Bacon Cheeseburger, which is served on a brioche bun and topped with bacon, American cheese, and Sonny Eclipse Signature Sauce!
Some of the Cast Members we spoke to about the sauce said that it was brand-new (that it came out just a day ago), while others said that it’d been on the menu for a couple of months. So exactly how new this sauce is has yet to be confirmed, but it hasn’t been around for a very long time either way.
We were told this sauce is like a Thousand Island dressing — and similar to the “spicy” sauce that came on the Rocket Hot Chicken Sandwich at the end of last year. Spoiler alert: we didn’t think it was actually spicy. While that chicken sandwich didn’t blow us away, we did think that this version of the sauce is something you should know about!
Did you know you could get Sonny Eclipse’s signature sauce at Cosmic Rays in Tomorrowland? 😋
It comes on burgers, but order it on the side, then add it to whatever you’d like! pic.twitter.com/uSQzj0QHNc

Next time you’re in Magic Kingdom, you can order this burger with the sauce on the side. Why would you do that, you ask? So you can have some on your burger AND dip your fries in it, too!
The sauce does taste similar to Thousand Island, but it has chopped pickles and a hint of paprika that we loved! Not only did it jazz up an otherwise plain burger, we kind of thought it reminded us of deviled eggs — in a good way! It’s a super creamy and flavorful addition to this burger, and we loved also dipping our fries in it.
Although we really enjoyed this sauce, we know that it might be a pretty controversial addition. Not everyone wants a deviled egg-flavored sauce on their burgers and fries, and the pickles mixed in might make it a no-go for some people as well.
Unfortunately, you can’t order this as a side on its own, so you’ll have to get the burger if you want to try it — but we really enjoyed the whole thing.

Ordered this burger at Cosmic Ray’s when I was in MK on 3/31/23 and it had this sauce on it that day. 😉
