One of the best things about Disney World is that you get the opportunity to do unique things (that you might not even realize are available!).
Yes, we’re talking about meeting your favorite Disney characters, but we’re also talking about things like special dining experiences, tours that can give you a behind-the-scenes look at the magic, food festivals with some incredible treats, unique entertainment, and more. Now, another special experience is coming to Disney Springs.
The Edison in Disney Springs has been hosting some unique offerings — like its Shaken & Stirred Cocktail Classes (a private, customized experience) and its Mixology Series (which is not a personalized event but gives you the chance to experience some unique eats with paired cocktails). Well, now The Edison has announced its next event in the Mixology Series and it’s one you might not want to miss.
The Mixology Sunset Dinner Series features an “elevated” three-course menu PLUS craft cocktails pairings while watching the sunset over Disney Springs. The Edison’s chefs and mixologists have come up with a July menu that celebrates “the tropical tastes of summer,” focusing on pineapple, passion fruit, floral notes, citrus, vanilla, and herbs. Yep, that sounds pretty awesome.
So here are the details: the experience will take place on two evenings, July 20th and 27th. Each experience will have two seating options:
- a dinner in The Edison’s gothic dining room at 5:30PM or
- a cigar-pairing dinner at 8PM on the lakeside patio of The Edison.
Both options are $75++ per person with the chance to add a specialty beverage upgrade for an additional $15 per person.
You’re probably wanting to know more about the menu, so here’s the full menu for the event:
- Nitro-cello – Nitrogen-infused Siete Leguas reposado, Caravella limoncello, Lillet Blanc, lemon, lime, and agave paired with Crudo (yellowtail snapper, avocado, citrus, purple potato chip)
- Sweet Tea Mint Julep – Benchmark small-batch bourbon, sweet tea demerara syrup, and mint paired with: Petite Pork Shank (bourbon BBQ, roasted apple, chili, crushed peanuts, scallion)
- Milk Punch – Myers’s dark rum, Tuaca, Grand Marnier, Frangelico, Madagascar vanilla, pineapple, lemon, and milk paired with: Bananas Foster (caramelized banana, vanilla ice cream, Myers’s dark rum caramel)
- Specialty Beverage Upgrade: 1 oz. Buffalo Trace bourbon (+$15 per person)
Um… YUM! Tickets are extremely limited and only available for those who are 21 and older, but if you’re interested, you can book your spot here. Some of the remaining times only had 6 or less seats available when we last checked, so get those tickets ASAP.
We’ll let you know about any other special Disney events like this, so be sure to stay tuned to DFB for more.
