We’ve got good news: the 2023 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival has officially STARTED! Want some even better news? We’re reviewing ALLLL of the new and returning snacks so that you know exactly what to try, where to go, and how to make the most of your visit.

2023 Coastal Eats Booth
Now that the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival is underway, we’ve been busy trying new snacks from all over EPCOT! (And doing a little shopping, too, because, DUH!) With so many places to eat, it can be a little intimidating! Luckily, we’re here to help. Now, we’re heading to a returning festival booth — the Coastal Eats booth — to give you the FULL rundown! Is it worth a try? Let’s find out!
Menu
Over at the Coastal Eats booth, you’ll find a variety of snack-size entrees. This year’s Coastal Eats menu features mostly returning items with one new drink.
There are two foods on the menu this year, both seafood dishes, plus two drink options.
It’s BAAAACK! We’re talking about part of the menu from Coastal Eats!

Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive in!
Eats
First up, we grabbed the Lump Crab Cake with Aïoli and Vinegar Slaw. This is a returning menu item, though this year, the description is a little different! Back in 2019, the Lump Crab Cakes served here came were made with Napa Cabbage Slaw and Avocado-lemongrass Cream. This year, it’s available for $7.
So, did it live up to last year’s standards? YES! It was really nice, very flavorful, and we loved that you could taste the herbs in it. It was on the saltier side, which we prefer when it comes to seafood. The breading wasn’t very crispy, but the slaw served on the side added a nice crunch — which made up for the chewier texture of the breading. The lemon added a nice acidity to the dish that we also enjoyed.
We also ordered the Oysters Rockefeller — another returning item we’ve tried before — for $7.50. Last year, we were pleasantly surprised by this dish; we thought they were great overall and had a buttery, rich, melt-in-your-mouth feel. We had our fingers crossed they would live up to the hype this time around!
For baked oysters served in a theme park, this dish gets a 10/10 review from us. The bread crumbs offer such a nice texture which we definitely enjoyed. It also has a cheesy taste and texture to it as well — which definitely complimented the spinach.
Overall, this booth did NOT disappoint in its returning seafood items. But what about the drinks?
Drinks
In terms of drinks this year, we got the Cape Codder, which is Boyd & Blair Vodka with Cranberry, Pomegranate, and Lime. This is a returning menu item, and in the past, we weren’t totally blown away by this drink. That said, we previously found it to be a safe, classic cocktail that wasn’t too sweet or too strong. The Cape Codder cocktail is $8.
So, how did this one measure up? Well, it tasted just like a Vodka Cran from your local bar. It does get a few extra bonus points for being slightly more refreshing due to the lime. It has a slightly tart aftertaste, which we also appreciated. If you’re looking for a more refreshing drink, give this one a go!
The menu also features the new Wildly Brut Cuvée, from South Australia and the CORKCICLE Stemless Flute.
OVERALL
If you consider yourself a seafood lover, then you’ll probably find something to enjoy here. If you’re looking for a Food and Wine Festival booth with lots of options, this probably isn’t the one for you since all you can get here is seafood.
Ultimately, we were blown away by how great the Oysters Rockefeller dish was. We didn’t expect theme park oysters to be such a HIT! The crab cakes were also delicious, but they pale in comparison to the oysters, y’all. Plus, the Cape Codder cocktail was a great, refreshing beverage to have alongside the two dishes. We had a great experience at this booth, and if you love seafood and coastal flavors, you likely will, too.
That’s it for Coastal Easts, but there’s a LOT more to see and do this year!
