Don’t Let This Magic Kingdom Store CHANGE Catch You Off Guard

A LOT goes into planning a Disney World trip.

Not only do you have to figure out all the travel arrangements and where you’re going to stay, but you also need to figure out where to eat and what you’re going to do when you get there. So let’s say you’re headed to Magic Kingdom in the morning and you want to check out a shop in Fantasyland while you’re there waiting for your Lightning Lane time for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, but that store isn’t open yet. Well, that could happen!

In fact, that’s happening right now. Bonjour Village Gifts is a shop in Fantasyland that focuses on Disney-themed arts and collectibles, including beautiful prints and figurines. It’s also a shop where we’ve found LOADS of Beauty and the Beast merchandise before (hence the name). However, if you’re wandering around Fantasyland in the morning, you may discover something surprising: Bonjour Village Gifts is not open.

So what gives? Well, that happened to us this morning and we asked a Cast Member who thought it might have something to do with a staff shortage (and we have seen issues like that in the past in Disney World). However, we also noticed that when we checked the official times for the store, it shows as opening at noon.

We spoke with another Cast Member who confirmed that the shop previously opened at 10AM, but that the noon opening time will remain for the foreseeable future. So if you were hoping to pop in to shop for some of the unique collectibles this shop carries, you’ll want to make sure you do so after noon. You can always double-check those store times on the My Disney Experience app just to be sure.
