We have some BIG news regarding a fan-favorite EPCOT attraction.
Disney is already working on a Country Bear Jamboree makeover in Magic Kingdom, and a beloved EPCOT attraction is meeting the same fate.
Yes, Test Track is being reimagined in EPCOT!
Now, Disney hasn’t given many details at all on this reimagining, but we do know that Disney stated that they “have a longstanding relationship with Chevrolet,” which was followed by the statement of Test Track being reimagined.
The updated version of the ride with take inspiration from EPCOT’s old World of Motion attraction! In fact, Disney explained, “Imagineers along with teams from Chevrolet are reaching back into history for inspiration – from the original World of Motion – and bringing that spirit of optimism to the next iteration of the Test Track attraction!”

I wish they would re-reimagine it, and put it back to how it used to be! Funny, thrilling, awesome.

Concept engineering is usually takes years of development. Add that to the pace at which Disney moves….

It’s about time. The preshow a decade or so ago was somewhat engaging and had fun things in the design lab to look at. The ride had heat lamps, rumble strips, and other “car torture test” elements. Now? Pretty boring… Ok – you do get to look at the latest $80-100K Chevys, but we spent most of our car payment money on APs!

I agree with Gina. The original Test Track, with the educational video, was amazing. Instead of focusing on anti lock brakes, which are no longer leading edge technology, talk about alternative fuel sources and self-driving cars. George Jetson stuff. And bring back Bill McHale, the GM Engineer from the old educational video that set up the former Test Track experience.

Hooray, the present version of Test Track was a giant step backwards in setting the pace. Bring back, update and enhance the “Factory” experience of the original Test Track that was out of the box ground breaking imagineering triumph. Where are those imagineer?
