Have you heard of Disney’s NEW island destination in the Bahamas?

Located on the island of Eleuthera in The Bahamas, Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point is opening in the summer of 2024. The destination will have an adults-only beach, a family water play area, a themed kids’ club, and more. Now, Disney has released NEW details about Lookout Cay!
Disney shared a look at a few themed areas on Lookout Cay.
Mabrika Cove
Mabrika Cove is the arrival point of Lookout Cay.

According to Disney, “‘Mabrika’ means ‘welcome’ in Taino, the language of the Lucayans, who are considered the indigenous people of The Bahamas.”
Goombay Cultural Center
The Goombay Cultural Center is meant to “embody the essence of ‘Junkanoo,’ a Bahamian festival filled with joyous music and vibrant parades that will come to life in many ways across Disney Lookout Cay.”

Goombay is a music style in the Bahamas, and it involves singing, dancing, and drums. The colorful pavilion has an archway that was inspired by Junkanoo. Inside, guests can learn more about the traditions of The Bahamas.
Triton’s Trumpet Stage
This gazebo is a center for family entertainment. The name is inspired by both the king from The Little Mermaid and one of the natural wonders found on Bahamian beaches: “a large, spiraled seashell commonly called ‘Triton’s Trumpet.'”
Treasures of Eleuthera
This is a gift shop located on the island! Treasures of Eleuthera will have “locally made gifts and artisan crafts.” The shop is going to “spotlight Bahamian artists through an array of unique items.”
Serenity Bay
Serenity Bay is the adults-only space at Lookout Cay. (It has the same name as the adults-only location on Castaway Cay.)

This spot is “a relaxing retreat exclusively for adults 18 years of age and older.” It has a beach, dining area, and private cabanas (which you can reserve).
