Disney Vacation Club Properties have been getting a lot of attention lately!
Newly remodeled rooms have hit Disney’s Boardwalk Inn and Villas, Disney’s Beach Club Resort rooms have gotten a new look, and an entire new DVC building at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is going up as we speak. Earlier this year, Disney announced that the Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness would be getting a makeover, and we recently shared a look at some of the concept art for the project. Now, we have a new look at what we might expect when these cabins are complete.
The proposal for this makeover calls for more than 350 refreshed cabins to replace the current structures at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. Disney stated that these new cabins will be “inspired by the resort’s idyllic setting, while also paying homage to the resort’s unique culture and heritage through the magic of Disney storytelling.” The original concept art that we saw back in April featured the exterior of modern-looking cabins.
Last week, new concept art for the cabins was released with a projected opening date of Summer 2024.
We got a look at the possible interior, with what looks to be a Murphy bed, a dining area, a small kitchen, and a bedroom.
There was also concept art for the proposed bedrooms, which have a few fun nods to Disney characters like Chip and Dale.
Now, we have a look at the concept art for the kitchen! There are some noticeable warm tones, a small kitchen with a dining table, coffee maker, microwave, oven, refrigerator, and more kitchen basics.
We’ll keep an eye out for any more updates, so stay tuned to DFB for more!

They look fabulous! Big question… will they be pet friendly like the RV area of the campground?
Have a magical day!

We loved staying at the Fort Wilderness Cabins. The new design has lost the entire concept of being a “Cabin” and being in “Fort Wilderness”. It’s one of those “what were they thinking?” moments when removing the Cabins from the Wilderness. I don’t get it.

How does one watch the television from those angles?

Do you know if the cabins will have washers and dryers?
Ken C says
Was hoping to see a washer-dryer.

The Exterior Looks Trailer Park !

Terrible! Where is the feeling of an in-the-woods cabin? We have stayed MANY times, even in the original trailers. You are losing the flavor of Ft Wilderness. 😣
RandyC says
The new cabins do look a bit like a backcountry lean-to on the Appalachian Trail, not the log cabins from before the change. But we will probably stay there at least once.
What I really want to see is Trails End return to what it used to be. We are not fans of the current counter service only Trails End. And bring back Fess Parker’s portrait as Davy Crockett. He was a hero to several generations of American boys. Removing his portrait from Crockett’s Tavern and the Kentucky long rifle he used in the movies truly is one of those, “what were they thinking” moments. Not sure about the rest of you, but I am sick and tired of this new Woke Disney. Ps -Disney, Davy Crockett was a frontiersman and they carried rifles. It’s history. Look it up.
