Y’all! It’s finally time! We’re going inside a BRAND-NEW Disney World restaurant and it’s one we’ve been VERY excited about.

That’s right, Summer House on the Lake is OPEN and we’re going to finally get to check out some of the food (oh, we cannot wait), the DESSERT Bar (insert photo of us drooling here), and see what the restaurant is like. So join us as we step into this brand-new restaurant in Disney Springs. 

Okay, a little background here. Summer House on the Lake features a West Coast-inspired menu, an extensive drink menu, and even a signature Rosé Cart. There’s also The Cookie Bar, which is a “dessert-focused market” with fresh cookies and pastries. YUM. BTW, did you know you could get drinks to go from there, too?

We decided to take a look at today’s cookie menu, and we made a list of what we wanted for later. Give us ALL the cookies!

Summer House on the Lake has both indoor and outdoor seating. There are plenty of tables and chairs, so lots of seating for guests.

The decor is minimal, with lots of natural light coming into the restaurant. There are also lots of plants and trees inside, giving it a very cool California-style vibe.

We also love this big “YES” sign in the back. We don’t know what we’re saying “yes” to, but we’re in!

There’s also seating at the bar, but note that seating there is first-come, first-serve.

You can even get a great table by the water here — this place is HUGE and has some great views.

Want merchandise? You’ll find that here, too, with t-shirts, hats, cups, tumblers, and even bottles of rosé.

Of course, we’re here for the food and drinks, so let’s take a look at some of what we’re eating on what will be the first of MANY trips to this restaurant. We started with a drink: the Strawberry Fields Zero Proof.

Of course, we had to order some appetizers. We got the signature guacamole, which also comes with house-made tortilla chips, cilantro, pico de gallo, charred-tomato salsa, and habanero verde.

We also grabbed the potato salad deviled eggs.

We also ordered the Ahi Tuna Tostadas and Chicken Paillard.

We’ve also got the Ahi Tuna Tostadas and Chicken Paillard ($21.95).

Then it was time for dessert — and well, we didn’t skimp. LOOK at these goodies. We got the birthday cake cookie, fudge bomb cookie, crispy rice chocolate chip cookie, pinky cookie, blondie, and lemon cookie.

Okay, let’s get back to The Cookie Bar. Look at these MASSIVE cookies on display. They’re the size of our head! Of course, we’ve already tried some of them with our meal.  You’ll also find some other sweet treats here, too, like blondies and Krispie treats.

As we previously mentioned, you can grab drinks from here, too, like cocktails, non-alcoholic drinks, and coffee.
