TBH, we are RUNNING this week to bring you news of all the changes happening at Disney World!
We are bringing you all the ins and outs of the re-introduction of the Disney Dining Plan (which lets you bundle a pre-paid package with your hotel stay to cover your meals on your Disney World vacation), checking out changes to the rules for virtual queues, and we’ll be at the parks on January 9th to test the NEW park hopping rules (you can now park hop anytime and not wait until 2PM 🥳).
But one thing that ISN’T changing this week is the park pass requirement for annual passholders. While travelers who have bought Disney World tickets that start on a certain date no longer have to make a reservation to tell Disney which park they’re planning to go to each day, annual passholders still have this requirement. Or do they?
Disney World IS giving annual passholders “Good to Go Days,” certain dates when you won’t need a park pass reservation. Since annual passholders are only allowed to be “holding” 3 to 5 park pass reservations at a time, depending on which level of pass you have (you can check out the benefits of each level here), it can be difficult for those who go frequently to make future plans. With “Good to Go” days in the mix, APs may be able to more easily grab and hold onto park pass reservations for future plans.
The Good to Go days start on January 11th, and Disney has just shared what you will see when you go to make park pass reservations as an annual passholder on that date.
The Good to Go Days — when you don’t need a park pass reservation — will be indicated with a green circle. A partial green circle indicates that certain parks are “Good to Go,” but not all of them. As you can see, there are quite a few Good to Go Days coming up in January! We’ll see how many are offered to passholders as we get into the busy spring break and summer seasons later in the year.
Of course, Disney World annual passholders are already allowed to enter any park without a reservation after 2PM — with the exception of Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Sundays (you’ll still need a park pass for that!). And keep in mind that any blockout dates you have with your pass will still apply, even if the day is marked a Good to Go day in the calendar.
