Why February 8th Is a Huge Day for Disney Fans

There have been several random dates in 2024 that have held significant meaning for Disney (and we’re still only in January!).

January 9th marked the change to Disney World’s park pass reservation system, the Disney Dining Plan’s return, and all-day park hopping. January 11th brought Annual Passholders “Good-to-Go” days. And now, we’re here to tell you why you may want to mark your calendar for February 8th!

Fantasy Springs, the HUGE expansion at Tokyo DisneySea, will officially open on June 6th, 2024. It’s going to be an exciting day as we finally get to explore Rapunzel’s Forest, Peter Pan’s Never Land, and Frozen Kingdom! Each area of the park looks and sounds absolutely amazing.

So what’s so exciting about February 8th if Fantasy Springs opens on June 6th? Great question! February 8th marks the first day that you can begin booking hotel reservations for the brand-new Fantasy Springs hotel!

The Fantasy Springs Hotel is being built inside the new park! Anyone staying here will be able to walk right into the park any time of the day (and even 15 minutes before other guests) with a valid park ticket.

On February 8th, you can begin making room reservations for June 6th through June 8th, which would make you part of the very first people EVER to see and experience this Disney hotel! No one else will have visited it or slept in its beds before you — you would be number ONE. How exciting would that be? You would also be among the first to even see the all-new park.

Bookings begin at 1 PM JST on February 8th with more dates becoming available on February 15th and beyond. If you’re interested in booking a vacation package, reservations for those are NOW OPEN and may include some nights at the Fantasy Springs Hotel’s Fantasy Chateau.

The new hotel will feature two buildings — the deluxe-type Fantasy Chateau and the luxury-type Grand Chateau. There will be restaurants and several meal options available. There will also be several benefits by staying here for instance, the hotel has its own special entrance into the park and guests will have access to “Happy Entry” which allows them to enter the park 15 minutes earlier than anyone else (not available on day of check-in).

Grabbing the vacation packages was very challenging as the website was incredibly busy on the day they opened, so we would expect the same thing on February 8th. If you’re hoping to snag one of these reservations be ready to hop online ASAP that day!
