Who else can’t resist a stop by Starbucks before your day begins at Disney World?
If you’re anything like us, then there’s simply no magic until you’ve had some sort of caffeine. While we all have our go-to Starbucks drinks that we get while at Disney World, sometimes we like to try something new. Today, we’re a bit nervous to try that new something, but our curiosity truly got the best of us. Come along with us to Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom, where you can find the Starbucks.
At the Starbucks located inside Main Street Bakery, you can find the Oleato Golden Foam Iced Shaken Espresso for $6.99 and the Toffeenut and Oleato Caffe Latte with Oatmilk for $6.29.
If you’re unfamiliar with Oleato, it’s basically olive oil coffee. We’ve had a variation of this drink before (outside of the Disney Parks) and it honestly wasn’t bad. We’re not super nervous to try olive oil coffee this time! Olive oil is used in a lot of dishes to bring out and enhance other flavors rather than act as the star of the show. So… don’t let olive oil scare you away from these bevies.
We’ll start with the shaken espresso drink. Our initial impression was that this one is very heavy on the oat milk, so it really cuts down the strength of the bold coffee flavor. You really can’t taste the olive oil at all. There isn’t much sweetness here, though, so if you typically opt for Starbies drinks like frappes or refreshers, you’ll either want to ask for sweetener or a different drink entirely.
The coffee flavor itself is more of a milder blonde roast, so if you like the flavor of blonde roasts, you’ll love this. We’d re-order it!
Now, let’s talk about the Toffeenut and Oleato Caffe Latte with Oatmilk. We tried a drink very similar to this one before, and we liked it until the oil started making it separate, and then it was just yucky. Let’s see how this one goes.
It was not good. It did separate, and when it did, you can really taste the olive oil. Plus, there’s no sort of sweetness to help balance it out. We absolutely do not recommend this one. It has the potential to be good if it would blend properly and not separate!
If you’re looking for an interesting take on typical coffee beverages, we’d recommend giving these a try. However, if you prefer sweeter coffees, we’d recommend skipping them. Oh, and definitely skip them if you get weirded out by separation in your drinks.
