What restaurants are you excited to dine in again? Tell us in the comments!
Alyssa says
Still waiting to hear when those of us under the 60 day mark can make reservations! Now that I know I can get into the parks, I am ready for the next step–food!
Angie says
Any info on restaurant hours yet? Are they going open for breakfast an hour before parks open?
DFB Sarah says
Angie, no info on this as far as I know. We will be looking and updating!
Nicole says
Curious what will be done about restaurants that are typically done buffet style (biergarten) since most places are not allowing serve yourself style.
Shayne says
No Casey’s Corner? And no table service in Japan, China, or France? Nothing in Norway? I’m glad there are still lots of options, but I’m curious about Epcot in particular, as this is where we typically do most of our eating! Of course, the (limited) Food & Wine festival will be there, so that will help make up for the things we miss, I hope.
And, like Alyssa, now that I’ve got my park reservations, I’m ready to reserve my dining. Keeping my eyes on DFB to find out when that will happen!
Risa Spinks says
What is the story with Signature Dining? I didn’t think that was happening, but see a few places that are considered Signature on there… Supposed to have wedding reception at Yachtman so freaking out a bit.
Josh says
I noticed that Columbia Harbor House was not listed. Any ideas why?
Kris says
There’s a couple that I’m sad aren’t on the list, but love that I see Garden Grill! I wonder if it will still be character dining with the modified Character experience that Topolino’s has.
Tiffany says
I was thinking buffets would not be opening but I see Biergarten on the list. Any word how that will work?
DFB Sarah says
Kris, we’ll be watching the character dining experiences to see how/if/when they’re modified. We’ll update.
DFB Sarah says
Josh, that is curious. I don’t have any idea on this. We’ll keep watching.
DFB Sarah says
Tiffany, expected to be family style.
DFB Sarah says
Shayne, yeah, looks like quite a few gaps in the dining world so far. We will update as more things open up. I wonder if the lack of international cast members is having any impact on World SHowcase openings.
DFB Sarah says
Nicole, we’re expecting most/all to shift to family style. We will be updating as we get on-site and experience the changes.
Nicole says
Is family style still all you can eat? Not sure how that works 🙂 Thank you for the response!
Gary Langdon says
If we have DVC reservations for September and late December can we make Park reservations for both at the same time ?
DFB Sarah says
Gary, we believe you should be able to do so (assuming you already have valid tickets or will be purchasing some when they go on sale). No one on our team had any trouble with booking their days for multiple trips with Annual Passes/Resort stays, but lots of people have. We’re hoping that the seemingly-recognized glitches are all getting ironed out.
DFB Sarah says
Nicole, we would expect that to be the case. All You Care to Enjoy but served family style (like Garden Grill or ‘Ohana breakfast, for example). We will be checking into the service at tons of restaurants, so we’ll get that info along the way.
Kimmie says
Any idea if booking dining will become available via the app?
Deanna says
Any idea when we can make ADRs for park restaurants??
Thank you
DFB Sarah says
Deanna, no date announced for this yet. We will be updating as soon as we know.
DFB Sarah says
Kimmie, we don’t know yet. We will update as soon as we do.
Cynthia Barclay says
Have you heard when Chef Mickey’s might be reopening. We just got moved to the Contemporary and I’m crossing fingers it will open the first weekend!
DFB Sarah says
Cynthia, Disney hasn’t listed Chef Mickey’s as opening yet, so we’ll have to watch for that. We’ll update!
Annette says
Any new restaurants at the opened resorts?
DFB Sarah says
Annette, here’s where Disney has announced the restaurants reopened in the Resorts.
Wlfmsdf says
What about counter service? Without meal plans, a lot may need to eat at counter service some of the time. Seen no list such as Columbia house or dino bites, etc.
DFB Sarah says
Wlfmsdf, if you scroll down this page and click the list for Theme Parks, you’ll see Disney’s current list. It does include some Quick Service, but certainly there are some big omissions.
Veronica says
Teppan Edo and Tutto Italia Ristorante 🙁 the best two in the Park!
Sandra says
Do you think in the near future that Disney will return their dining plan or is it gone for good. I’m will be coming in 2021 and just want to prepare if we are gonna have to pay. Do they have the memory makers when the parks open or is that on hold.
DFB Sarah says
Sandra, Disney says DDP suspension is temporary, so we expect it to come back. Disney has not said when that will happen.
Gail says
Any word on when Chef De France will open
DFB Sarah says
Gail, not yet. There are several World Showcase restaurants we’ll be watching for.
