It was a happy day when The Hollywood Brown Derby in Disney’s Hollywood Studios opened The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge just outside its walls.

This lounge gives guests the chance to enjoy the fine food featured at the signature restaurant (including the “Famous Cobb Salad”) along with cocktails or any selections from the full bar – all without an Advance Dining Reservation. You can just walk up to enjoy your chance to “dine like the stars” in this refined setting.

Head to this lounge if…
You couldn’t get reservations for The Hollywood Brown Derby. Good news, gang! If the restaurant was all booked up last time you checked, its attached lounge offers walk-up availability on a first-come, first-served basis! This means you’ll still get to order from the restaurant’s menu MINUS the reservation hassle.
You want your choice of eating indoors OR outdoors. While the outdoor seating area is immediately visible outside the Hollywood Brown Derby, there is some indoor seating dedicated to the lounge as well.
You love to people watch. Indoor seating is GREAT when it’s hot out, and you need some AC, but the seating outside Hollywood Brown Derby is covered. PLUS, it’ll put you at a unique vantage point for people watching! (Or maybe even CHARACTER watching, since Disney friends tend to wander near this lounge, on occasion.)
Skip this lounge if…
You weren’t prepared to wait. Again, the Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge is first come, first served. And that could work in your favor, but it could also mean having to put your name on a walk-up waitlist and waiting HOURS before a table is ready for you. Try to avoid hitting this lounge up during peak lunch and dinner timeframes.
You’re traveling with kiddos. Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge might be exciting for you, but it might not be the most exciting for the younger members of your group.
Outdoor seating is your only option, but the weather is unbearable. Yes, indoor seating is available for the Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge, but it’s even MORE limited than the lounge’s outdoor seating. And as beautiful/interesting as the views are from the outdoor vantage point, Orlando’s 90+ degree days might make it a whole lot LESS beautiful.
