Just days ago, Apple unveiled a new product that will be a game changer to Disney content.

With so many people choosing to consume their entertainment and news through streaming platforms and bundling it with other services, this could be revolutionary to how you “do” Disney from home. Not only will this technology be compatible with Disney+, but it could change the way you feel you’re interacting with Disney and immerse you more than ever before.
Times and technology are changing and the way we choose to consume content is too! Apple has just released its latest technology, the Apple Vision Pro, and it stands to challenge your media experience.

In a nutshell, Apple’s new mixed-reality headset will blend virtual and augmented reality through their headset’s technology allowing the headpiece to overlay virtual images on live video of the real world. And they’re available starting TODAY! When you have the headset on, you’ll be able to see apps projected in front of you, and the headset is programmed to respond to your head and eye movement, so it’ll feel like “your mind is guiding the experience.”

What makes this deal even sweeter is that Disney+ subscribers who have purchased an Apple Vision Pro will be able to stream the entire Disney+ catalog on the goggles at no additional cost! Disney’s CEO Bob Iger said he hopes that the partnership with Apple to bring the Disney+ content will allow Disney fans an experience that will bring them “… closer to the characters and stories they love while immersing them more deeply in all that Disney has to offer.”

That’s not the ONLY thing Disney you can do on this thing, though! On top of being able to stream the entire Disney+ library, Disney has also announced there will be 4 “Disney+ Environments” that “magically transform users’ spaces into landscapes from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars.” If you’ve ever wanted to “feel” what it would be like to be inside your favorite Disney films, turning on these “environments” on these goggles will be the closest thing you’ll get from home!

If you’re really wanting to immerse yourself in all things Disney, try turning on a Disney-themed environment like the Scare Floor from Pixar’s Monsters Inc., Marvel’s Avengers Tower, or the cockpit of Luke Skywalker’s landspeeder, and stream your Disney+ show or movie for the ultimate experience.

Did we mention you’ll be able to watch several movies in 3D, too? That’s right! Several newer titles to Disney+ will be compatible to stream in 3D right off the bat including a few box office heavy hitters like Avatar: The Way of Water, Avengers: Endgame, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Elemental, and Encanto.

Disney has also stated that more titles and films will be added to the compatible 3D lineup and we can’t wait to see what gets added next!
If you’re already ready to grab your wallet and start shopping on your mobile device RIGHT NOW, you may run into one little hiccup… these things are PRICEY!

Apple Vision Pro will cost you a cool $3,499 making them not totally affordable to everyone’s budget right out of the gate. Our hats are off to you though if you’re ready to be one of the first to experience this new technology!
We’re excited to see how well these goggles are received and how they change your experience as a Disney fan! And as always, stay tuned with us at Disney Food Blog for more!
