Okay runners, are you ready?
Of course, you are. We know many of you train all through the year to participate in Disney’s many runDisney events. Now that runDisney events have returned to Disneyland, you might even be gearing up for Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon Weekend on September 8th, which could be one of the most fun events of the year, especially if you love all things spooky. Well, registration for the Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend is now open!
That’s right! Just head on over to the runDisney website to register for the event. This one is probably going to fill up fast, so you’ll want to do it quickly. Why do we think it’s going to be so popular? Well, it’s a Halloween event during Halloween Time in Disneyland, where Halloween is VERY popular. Plus, check out the themes! The 5K is all about Chip ‘n’ Dale, with a “trick-or-treat themed adventure through Disneyland Resort.”
You’ll definitely want to do the 10K because it’s all about the Hitchhiking Ghosts from the Haunted Mansion. You’ll actually get to see some of your favorite Haunted Mansion characters on this run.
This year’s marathon is all about the spookiest witch sisters to ever have existed. Yep, it’s Hocus Pocus-themed, with Minnie, Daisy, and Clarabelle as the Sanderson Sisters.
The 2024 Chills & Thrills Challenge includes both the 10K and Half Marathon. It’s also “Simply Meant To Be,” aka dedicated to Jack Skellington, Sally, and Zero from The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Finally, the Kid’s race is dedicated to Cars. These races are open to children up to the age of nine.
You will need to pay a registration fee based on when you sign up for the in-person race:
- February 13th, 2024 – August 12th, 2024: $260.00
- Beginning August 13th, 2024: $270.00
Like we said, we have a feeling this runDisney event is going to be SUPER popular, so be sure to get registered as soon as you can.
Stay tuned to DFB for more.
