We’re constantly looking to the future to see what changes could come to Disney World!
Right now, we’re awaiting the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and the completion of some major hotel projects, but on the horizon, we’ve got expansions coming to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. Disney World seems to be adding new lands to the parks left and right in the past decade, but what about adding a fifth park altogether? Today we’re discussing the possibilities!
For years, fans have been hoping that Disney World would build a fifth park in Florida, especially since there’s plenty of open land on the Disney World property. It has been predicted by analysts that Disney will announce a 5th park in the near future, but if they did, what would it include?
Today, we’re sharing our list of 6 lands that Disney World could put in a brand new theme park!
Zootopia
Back when Disney announced plans for revamping Dinoland, USA in Animal Kingdom, they mentioned Zootopia as one of the options for that park. However, if they don’t use Zootopia in Animal Kingdom, this would be a great candidate for a land in a brand-new park.
Zootopia performed incredibly well at the international box office, so adding it to Disney World in a large fashion could be a good way to draw in international visitors. The film also did a significant amount of world-building, so there’s a pretty good footprint for what Disney would need to construct. Not to mention the fact that Zootopia Land opened at Shanghai Disneyland in 2023, so it would be easy to copy and paste some of those offerings.
Frozen
Speaking of movies that performed well, you know we’ve got to talk about Frozen! The first and second films did so well that Disney is currently preparing a third movie for the sisters from Arendelle. World of Frozen opened in 2023 in Hong Kong Disneyland, so this is another one that would be easy to replicate.
We’ve already got a few Frozen offerings in the Norway Pavilion at EPCOT, but as the franchise expands, there are definitely more opportunities to come.
Tangled
Do you know which character we’ve been hoping would get more in-park representation for YEARS? Rapunzel! In Disney World, all she gets is a character meet, some entertainment appearances, and a set of bathrooms. There’s so much potential for what could be done with the Tangled characters!
Tokyo DisneySea is getting a Fantasy Springs expansion with an area themed to Tangled, and we’ll be interested to see what it entails. For years, we’ve been dreaming of a boat ride with Rapunzel, Flynn, and the floating lanterns — please make our dreams come true, Disney World!
Disney Villains
Fans would throw parties in the STREETS if Disney World ever fully decided to commit to a Disney Villains land or expansion. Many have hoped over the years that we could get an entire “Dark Kingdom” theme park, but at the very least, a villains-based land would be nice.
This was thrown around as one of the possibilities for the Magic Kingdom expansion beyond Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. And now that Universal Orlando has announced a “Dark Universe” land for its Epic Universe theme park, this feels more like a possibility.
More Space
Do you know what Disney seems to be stuck on the past few years? SPACE! From Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to the Galactic Starcruiser to Space 220, there was a while there where we just kept getting space-themed additions. And honestly, if they did another one, we wouldn’t mind it!
Possibilities for space-themed expansions include IP like Star Wars and Lilo & Stitch, both of which are incredibly popular. They could even do something like Universal does with the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and build a SECOND Galaxy’s Edge in a new park — just themed to a different planet. Now that would be something!
Mickey’s ToonTown…AGAIN
Do you know what we miss incredibly?! Mickey’s ToonTown! This land is still available at Disneyland Park but was removed from Magic Kingdom years ago to make way for the Fantasyland expansion. It would be great to see an improved version return to Disney World in a fifth park.
Mickey and Minnie don’t get the love they deserve in the Disney World parks — they only have ONE ride that they star in! Imagine all the cool Disney nostalgia a land like this could have. And it would be all the more impressive with today’s technology.
So there you have it — some of the lands we wish Disney would bring to a fifth theme park! Stay tuned to DFB for more news and updates from Disney World.

We wish they would bring back an attraction (or land) for Stitch. Disney clearly understands the significant Stitch fandom, you can see that in their merchandising. They closed down Stitch’s attraction years ago (didn’t like it? okay, didn’t have to go on it! there are plenty of attractions we don’t like and don’t bust on). They have done nothing with the space. What would have been the harm in keeping it operating until new plans were definite? It couldn’t have been a high maintenance attraction. There is so much that could be done with Stitch. Spaceship roller coaster, luau beach restaurant, a Peter Pan or Ratatouille-style ride through the house featuring scenes from the movie. Something for Stitch could fit easily into another theme as well, such as Space.

I think it would be incredible if they did a land of retired rides. 20,000 leagues, food rocks, great movie ride, Mr toad, etc… They could brand it Disney Classics or or Retro Disney, or something like that. They could have spectromagic run there and characters from the past (Periwinkle, launch pad, etc…). Maybe even bring back some old restaurants or classic foods they no longer serve.

There are several things that have been put into some of the parks that I think are in the wrong place, they are things that should be put into a new park.
Also, if a villain’s area is considered for a new park then they should have the Disney Villain’s Store like they had at the Disney MGM park when that park first opened.
I wouldn’t even mind seeing the Time Keeper Attraction make a return, we always loved seeing that.

5th park make it like Epcot except with fanatasy lands instead of real countries. Tangled, brave, Moana, frozen. For the villains focus on a land that has darth Vader and the Sith Lords. Have a ride that connects that with the other Star Wars area like Harry Potter land in universal. This encourages park hopper purchases and makes getting from one park to the other seamless.

I still say they should add Stitch to Space Mountain like with the Incredibles and the Incredicoaster.
I think that would be so cool! 🙂

I would hope they would include Alien Encounter again. It was spectacular but parents DID NOT LISTEN TO CAST MEMBERS when they were warned it was NOT for small children then parents had the nerve to complain!!!

I think a villains themed park would be cool! Especially if it was packed with Thrill rides. Then the whole park would cater towards teens/adults and would pull some of the Disney Adults out of the other parks so families with kids would have less to complain about on an average day. It could be a park that’s not a priority for people with small children. And would add some big ticket thrills to Disney world. (No hate here for Disney adults. I am currently a childless adult that goes to the parks. I just see parents with kids on social media complaining about it sometimes.)

It’s easy. Transplant Tokyo Disneysea to Orlando. Boom! Problem solved.

I’d like to see some of the exciting projects that have been announced in the past but never built in a 5th park.

I love the idea of a land with all the old rides that never should have gone away—Horizons, the original Imagination ride, The Great Movie Ride, etc.
