Because we’re in Disney World so often, there’s not a lot that gets past us. Especially when those things are a bit weird.
So when we spotted a weird beverage at a popular Disney Springs restaurant that really got our gears turning, we just couldn’t satisfy our curiosity until we decided to take one for the team and try it out.
On a recent trip out to Disney Springs, we happened upon something that really piqued our curiosity. While stopping by Vivoli Il Gelato, we thought we would be scanning their selection of frozen treats but found ourselves thoroughly invested in the very last thing we could have anticipated.
After taking a closer look at the beverage options, we found a weird combination and knew we just HAD to put it to our test.
So, we purchased the canned drink and anticipated the worst to set in quickly. This Kimbo Sparkling Coffee drink cost us $5.50 and really is like a coffee-flavored soda.
When we popped the tab on this can and took that initial gulp of flavor we were shocked. The initial flavor mimics the bitterness of coffee, and then you feel the carbonation set in. At first, it’s almost like something went wrong like when orange juice goes bad and feels carbonated, but then, you taste the sweetness and that makes up for it.
Overall, we found it fairly refreshing. If you love drinking carbonated water and soda this would be another fun way to consume the carbonation you crave AND get some caffeine in too! And if you were wondering, it’s dairy-free and plant-based making it a great option for environmentally conscious folk.
We’re always looking to try out new food and drinks that we spot around Disney World so be sure to stay tuned with us as we keep you current on all the strange and unusual offerings we encounter!
