This year is flying by, so can you really blame us if we’re already looking ahead toward the end of 2024?
While there are some EXCELLENT choices when you’re deciding which days to visit Disney World in 2024, some days you’re better off staying home. While it might seem like a ways away, if you’re planning on visiting in or around November, you should be prepared for one week when an entire state takes over Disney World!
Known as Jersey Week, each year in the fall, New Jerseyans flood Disney World for a specific week.In 2024, that week will take place the first full week of November.
Jersey Week is the result of the New Jersey Education Association’s teacher convention on November 7th and 8th, 2024. The convention features professional seminars, workshops, and programs for teachers and educational support professionals. Most importantly as it pertains to Disney World, schools are closed from Monday, November 4th to Friday, November 8th, 2024.
Naturally, families tend to leave the cold of The Garden State during this time in favor of the Florida tropical climate and Disney experience. The influx of New Jersey families to Disney World during this week has garnered a pretty big reputation over the years for creating some pretty big crowds —Â despite falling in between Halloween and the Holiday season. If you can avoid this week, we recommend doing so.
We’ll continue to bring you Disney World updates throughout the year, so stay tuned here at DFB for all the latest!

Last year I booked this week, not realizing it was Jersey week, and also the Run Disney Wine and Dine weekend. It was horrendous! Race day we tried to get from Wilderness Lodge to Animal Kingdom and no buses were showing up. We called for an Uber and our driver informed us the GPS said the trip would take 55 minutes. Fortunately, it didn’t take nearly that long, but I vowed I’d never book that same timeframe again!

I totally have this week booked. First time to World. Maybe I should change the dates.
