We have been eagerly awaiting an official opening date for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and while we don’t have that for you YET, we do have some fun news from the Bayou!
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure has been under construction in Magic Kingdom since January 2023, and recently we have been spotting a lot of changes happening!
We just spotted something exciting over at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom! We have been keeping a close eye on the construction progress at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure which is set to open this summer in Magic Kingdom. This attraction will take guests on a journey with Tiana and friends as they prepare for their first-ever Mardi Gras celebration!
There’s an armadillo under there!
We have seen ride testing occurring and lots of the construction walls have started coming down. And while we were in Magic Kingdom, we noticed something else had appeared along the ride track. If you look really closely, you can spot the critter tucked away towards the back. Could this be Lari the Armadillo that has been announced to be joining the ride?
Look at the armadillo!
This is one of our first critter sightings at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! Disney has announced numerous critters that will be joining Tiana in this new ride, including Felipe the Frog, Pawpaw the Bobcat, and Phina the Gray Fox. We are looking forward to seeing more and more pop up as we get closer to opening.

We have also gotten some peeks at the animatronics that will be included in the attraction. They are impressive and we can’t wait to see all the animatronics and critters together when the ride opens this summer.
