You may notice we talk a lot about bathrooms here at DFB, but that’s because they’re IMPORTANT!
Everyone has to go to the bathroom during their Disney World day (and if you don’t, that probably means you’re not drinking enough water), so you might as well know which bathrooms are the best, and which ones you may want to stay away from. However, we haven’t talked about THIS bathroom issue in Walt Disney World, and it’s time we sit down and have a discussion.
There are tons of bathrooms located all over the Disney World parks, but have you ever noticed that Disney World transportation is sorely lacking in the bathroom department?
While you will often find bathrooms a short walk away, you also won’t find any on or around the boats/boat docks — and that’s not super helpful when things are backed up and lines are long. While there are bathrooms close-ish to the Monorail lines at the TTC, there are not any at the EPCOT Monorail station, Now, we know there have to be some around for the Cast Members working these stations, but no bathrooms are available for guests to use.
We recently checked on bathrooms available on the ferryboats you take from the Ticket and Transportation Center to the Magic Kingdom. The boats used to be used for fireworks cruises, and there was bathroom access at that time. But those cruises are not currently available. Our reporter talked to Cast Members who showed him this door…
…and said they believe there is a bathroom behind it, but they don’t know how to open it (or what state they would find it in if they did!). So while there used to be bathroom access on the Ferryboats, it’s not something available at this time.
While this normally doesn’t seem like a huge issue, since you’re not in these locations for very long, if there’s a transportation delay (which can happen easily), you’re stuck in an area with no bathrooms. Adults may be less stressed about this, but we recognize that some folks need quick access to a bathroom at all times. And some kiddos who are old enough to be out of diapers but still fight with you on going to the bathroom before you head to transportation may have some issues.
Now things are a little better with the Skyliner — there are bathrooms at or near the Skyliner stations. Again if you’re waiting in line for a long time, it may be hard to step out and get there, though.
The only way to really solve this issue is by making sure you use the restroom before you head to your next location, and/or making sure you discuss ahead of time who in the party will take children out of line and to the nearest bathroom (which may be inside a park or inside a hotel lobby).
We’re not totally sure WHERE Disney could add more bathrooms to these areas, so it may just be a matter of needing to be prepared for this potentiality to happen. We’re always here to help you prepare for the unexpected during your Disney World trip, so stay tuned to DFB!

Last week I discovered that there are no bathrooms in the Mexico pavilion and the nearest one was in the Norway area; poor condition and faucets in handicap stall didn’t work. Looking at the guide map showed that restrooms in the world showcase are few and far between. There is the newer one beside the America pavilion if needed before concerts.

I recall using the restroom at the Skyliner transfer spot at Caribbean Beach. Definitely came in handy on my way back to Pop! Century after a long day at EPCOT!
Our Life on the Go says
Skyliner hub at CBR definitely has restrooms, and they’re not far at either Epcot or HS, but they aren’t close at the other resort stops. Since I tell people to ALWAYS use the restroom before getting on the Skyliner (do you REALLY want to use the little bags?), this can be a problem!

There definitely are restrooms at the skyliner switch station. We stay at AOA with our kiddos, & have had to utilize them. There are also restrooms pretty close by to the skyline station at HS, so you can pop by on your way into or out of the parks.

Skyliner bathroom at the Caribbean Beach station and the Riviera station.

As Jess mentions above, there are definitely bathrooms at the Caribbean Beach Skyliner station, as my wife and son used them multiple times during our last trip. There is also one at the Riviera Skyliner station, as you’re exiting. It may be just a single unisex bathroom, but it’s there.

Convenient Restooms
1) Get off monorail at Contemporary, go down escalator and restrooms are right there
2) At TTC to left of entrances to Monorail and Ferry operations is a men and women restroom
3) At Skyliner hub there are restrooms.

FYI. There is a bathroom in the Mexico pavilion. It’s in the restaurant but anyone can use it
