Disney World is in the midst of a lot of construction right now. In Magic Kingdom, Frontierland is getting a Cars expansion, while a new Villains land is being added behind Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. In Disney’s Hollywood Studios, a Monsters, Inc. land is being constructed. A Tropical Americas-themed land is being created in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
In EPCOT, the construction is a little more subtle, but it’s still happening. Most recently, we discovered that a store in EPCOT’s Germany Pavilion and the pavilion’s guest restrooms are closed for refurbishment.
One thing you gotta’ love about visiting Disney World is that you’ll never have to hunt too far to find a bathroom. Bathrooms are EVERYWHERE throughout the parks, so when you need one, you can find it easily enough (and they’re also visible on the My Disney Experience app).
So after all these years of visiting Disney World, we pretty much have some favorite bathrooms in the parks, and one of our favorites might be the Tangled bathrooms in Magic Kingdom. Well, these beautiful bathrooms have now reopened.
We just got back from getting the chance to check out Universal Kids Resort before its official opening on July 1st in Frisco, Texas!
We got to explore the hotel attached to the park, as well as all the different lands there are to check out and all the attractions inside each one. As if that all wasn’t already great to see just how much kids will adore this resort, there’s something else we noticed that shows just how much Universal worked to make this hotel kid-friendly, but it’s not where you may expect!
Listen, we love a big Disney World update. New rides? Great. Fresh restaurants? Wonderful. A surprise snack shaped like a beloved character? We are seated.
But sometimes, the most practical upgrades are the ones that deserve their tiny little spotlight. And today, we need to talk about bathrooms.
If Disney could apply this incredible bathroom feature to ALL of its parks worldwide, it would be greatly appreciated.
Whenever Disney wants to improve its theme park bathrooms, we’re never one to complain. As it turns out, the theme park giant has begun making a significant modification in the bathrooms at the Disneyland Resort, and we have to say — it’s about time!
Okay, so we might be a little obsessed with bathrooms in Disney World, but you have to admit that it’s nice to have so many bathrooms available in the parks…and, hey, some of them are REALLY nice.
Like we’ll spend all day hanging around the Tangled bathrooms in Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom just because of the cool Rapunzel vibes. Well, Magic Kingdom just got a newly updated bathroom, and well, it might now be one of our new favorites.
Not to be weird, but I spend a lot of my time in Disney World bathrooms.
When you visit the parks for your job, you’ll inevitably be exposed to a wide variety of public restroom experiences. I’ve been in pristine, clean bathrooms where I could nearly see my reflection in the floor, and I’ve been in bathrooms strewn with toilet paper and plagued by clogged pipes. Not all Disney World restrooms are created equal, that’s for sure. And recently, I took note of a very awkward toilet trouble that I’m hoping Disney fixes in its new land.
If you’re sick and tired of that bar soap slipping out of your hands when you’re washing your hands in the sink at your Disney World hotel, you’ll never believe what could be on the way.
We heard a report from a friend of ours that pump soap could be arriving at various Disney World hotel room bathrooms, and we knew we needed to check it out ourselves. So, we headed over to Animal Kingdom Lodge to check it out ourselves, and were NOT disappointed!
Look, we’ve all rope-dropped a bathroom. Five people, one sink, a countdown clock louder than the monorail’s “por favor,” and a mountain of damp ponchos glaring at you from the towel rack like Force ghosts. Disney, we love you—deeply, irrationally, with MagicBand tan lines to prove it—but your hotel bathrooms are still stuck somewhere between “1971 opening day” and “why is this mirror gaslighting my contour?”
Here’s the manifesto Disney bathrooms didn’t know they needed, equal parts practical salvation and gloriously whimsical chaos. We are demanding these items to avoid a bathroom apocalypse and a pre-park meltdown.
