It’s SNACK time.
AJ is in Tokyo DisneySea for the official grand-opening of Fantasy Springs this week! We got a look at the amazing new rides and restaurants at Fantasy Springs during a preview last month. But there was one snack we were desparate to try and it wasn’t available. But now AJ was able to sample it! So what did she think? Let’s find out…
For those who might not know, popcorn is a BIG deal at the Tokyo Disney Resort. Fans often line up for hours each day at various locations inside Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea to get a taste of some of the dozens of exotic flavors that have been offered over the years including Soy Sauce Butter, Green Tea White Chocolate, and the perennial favorite Curry. Therefore, it stands to reason that the resort’s massive new expansion has an exclusive is serving a savory popcorn flavor. This time, it’s Roast Beef!
The new Roast Beef Popcorn is available from the Popcorn Wagon – – which is designed to look like “a boat pieced together from colorful slabs of old wood” – – in the Peter Pan’s Neverland subsection of Fantasy Springs. It’s also available in Tokyo DisneySea’s American Waterfront area.
So, what did AJ think of it? Well, according to her the roast beef flavor was “SO INTENSE…and not really in a good way??” She expanded, “It smells so strongly of meat. When you taste it, the smokey flavor fills your mouth and doesn’t let go. One kernel stuck with me for like 5 minutes. It’s a LOT. Meaty and savory but with a strong artificial taste that coats your mouth.”
So, suffice to say the Roast Beef Popcorn might not be one of the Tokyo Disney Resort’s home run flavors. However, perhaps those who are fans of intense smokey meat flavors may enjoy it, and it’ll go on to become a fan favorite?
