We love our EPCOT festivals dearly, but there’s one thing that makes us sad every time — they end.
Distance makes the heart grow fonder, we guess, but that still doesn’t mean we don’t long for our favorite festival eats when they’re not around. We thought this problem may be solved with the opening of CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza happening on June 10th, but now we’re second-guessing. We got a sneak peek at this new festival hub tonight, and we still have BIG questions about this new festival booth.
There’s a new permanent festival booth inside CommuniCore Hall called Festival Favorites. We were crossing our fingers and hoping that this was exactly what it sounded like — a spot where we could grab some of our favorite festival offerings year round!
However…we don’t really know what this booth is. Yes, it says Festival Favorites, but we couldn’t find any menu. When we asked Disney officials about the booth, we were told it IS a festival booth that will be open during festival days — so that doesn’t sound like it will be open yearround. We were also told that there could be tests of the booth, so you may find it open on non-festival days!
The CommuniCore Plaza area can hold a LOT of people, so we have a feeling this would be a very popular booth at all times of the year, because so many people will be stopping by to relax, listen to some live music, or see what the current festival has going on in CommuniCore Hall right next door.
And we found out that not only will the new ¡Celebración Encanto! show be running through September 6th, 2024, drawing people in, but a live band will be playing latin music each night! Talk about a relaxing way to end your EPCOT day.
Guess we’ll just have to wait and see when the Festival Favorites booth opens — if it opens before the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, we’ll be sure to let you know!

Stopping by to relax where? I didn’t see any signs of permanent seating, just a lot of open space.

I was here on opening day and they were serving food! It was also very busy. My husband did grab two arepas, one was cheese & one was chicken avocado. They were also serving coconut tres leches cake. I’m not sure if these are festival favorites or not? But they were delicious! We ate them and cooled down inside Communicore Hall.
